I have to hand it to you guys. You are putting an amazing amount of effort into making this thread even worse than it was when it was just Lyrical masturbating to Batman for 30 pages. I still think the movie is going to be worse than this thread, though.

Still think Dark Knight was great even without Ledger's performance (although it certainly pushes it higher), and I think DKR gets a little too much criticism for not being whatever people wanted it to be. I actually really liked Eckhart in DK.

If they throw in too many characters with no backstory, I hope it doesn't get too much like X3. Marvel can get away with that because they spend time building up their universe. If DC is just going to bombard us with so many heroes and villains during BvS, or in the movie itself, the story will hurt.

Hell, DC has done character overload before. It started with Batman Forever and turned the dials up to 11 with Batman and Robin. The first was passible, mainly due to Carrey making a serviceable Riddler. The latter makes Adam West Batman look like masterpiece theatre.

Batman Forever had a 51% score on metacritic, that was not a good movie by any stretch.
