I like Draegan, he calls out cheapskates for not tipping their servers.
Of course he does. He's tipping waitresses with the donations we send to prop up this concentration camp of a board. He's like McQuaid, but this product happens to be a lot shittier.

Who the fuck donates money to a message board? That's valuable tip money I could be giving to a large breasted bartender.

You're welcome to leave the concentration camp douche. Draegan is great. Y'all are haters for no good reason. I don't agree with his perspective on tipping though.

All I know is if a random starving kid shows up on my doorstep tonight, the victim of gods knows what kind of horrors, sent away by his family to escape even more horrors, I would want to help him. Sure its not my duty or responsibility to feed him, cloth him, or house him for 18 years. But I sure as shit wouldnt slam the door in his face. I would see what kind of help I can give him and try to maybe find the cause of why he was there.
This has been exactly my thought on the issue going on right now. People advocating slamming a door in a (white kids) kids face if he showed up one night at their home is pretty disgusting, especially coming from some "compassionate" christian types. Their personal hate for Obama is really, really deep.

If a kid showed up on my doorstep, yeah I'd be giving water, food, and a place to sleep while I contacted the authorities to get it taken care of (And I'm an Atheist - suck on that "compassionate" christians). This is precisely what - it seems to me - the administration is trying to do, and I can't fault them for that. There's just this huge backlog of kids to be dealt with and the process needs to be sped up to make sure that the kids aren't the ones suffering, or sent out to literally die, because of Murica! Freedom! It just does not compute. If we want to continue calling ourselves the greatest nation on the planet (lol), we should really try to be at least a decent nation first.

LOL @ Rick Perry saying we need more border security to "show" them that we're tough, even though we won't arrest them and will add them to our queue. That's one hell of a solution.

What the hell kind of strawmen are you people creating? Poor sick and injured "refugees" showing up on doorsteps? Fucking lol.

I dont doubt maybe one or two might stumble upon some persons door asking for help, the vast majority of these people are being handled by coyotes.

Doesnt sound like a metaphor to me.

I'm guessing you've never listened to a refugee interview or read one's memoirs. It's typical for a refugee to break multiple laws while running from their old homes.

Based on what you're implying we shouldn't help 90%+ of the refugees we assist.
I'm OK with that. The time to give fucks has passed. Country is god damn broke.

At the rate we're going we'll be using one of these soon.

People are bitching about XX going up in price, it's not because of demand. It's because we're flooding the country and a good portion of the world with money printed out of thin air.

What choice do we have? We need that reserve currency status to keep our military going so we can ensure stable pacific shipping lanes and ensure the flow of the light sweet crude from the Middle East. The Asian manufacturing nations and the ME oil producing nations and the other brave new first world corporatocracy techno-dystopias are more than happy to enable that system as it benefits them immensely.

Except we dont use middle eastern oil.
We might not but it needs to flow nonetheless or there will be serious fuckery throughout the global economy, as we've seen a number of times.

And the reason it flows uninterrupted is, generally, the US Navy.

Both Alabama and Georgia passed bills making it difficult for their businesses to hire undocumented workers, and it was effective. If Rick Perry actually had a problem with illegals and wanted to fix it, he could do the same. But then he couldn't cry about it for national headlines.

Who's bitching about the inflation that we've been having that isn't particularly abnormal?Historical Inflation Rates: 1914-2014 | US Inflation Calculator

Because really nothing should be inflating too much that it prices you out of something. Most of the people I see bitching about the prices of things aren't bitching because of price increases but because of how many things they want. If you're not wasteful and of moderate means you're not falling out of accessing anything outside of luxury items.

Regardless if that's your concern, worrying about a $3.7b suggestion when there's tax cuts (i.e. less revenue => more deficit => more total debt) being proposed for nearly three times that during the same timeframe seems relatively silly. Not to mention all the other much bigger beasts to slay.

Don't get me wrong, I can see your view and I do share it on many subjects (although not on this one), but until real headway is made on trimming the massive expenses it's silly to worry about the small things. Especially when the problem is going to likely be more costly to fix if not handled now. [Since if we just ignore these people how many of them clog our systems with unpaid bills of various sorts?]

Telling literally hundreds of thousands of refugees they can't enter our country illegally after just showing up one day at our border is wrong now?

Americans would riot quicker if you cut off their cheap shit form China before they rioted for having to take a bicycle.

I'm not sure, has inflation been determined differently during different times? It's not something I'm versed in personally.

It seems rather straight forward that they'd determine it by GDP growth but honestly, no clue - I just grabbed first link I saw that showed that 1.5-2% is pretty much considered a normal year. (Which we've been dancing around besides 2011)

1.5-2% is still a lot. The math is trickery because it compounds. At 2% doubling occurs in 35 years.

LOGS, HOW DO THEY EVEN WORK?

It doesn't take very many human generations before these systems begin to require unsustainable growth. And if anyone knows how to fix that please clue the rest of us in and go claim your nobel prize.

I'll agree it does add up - but it's not an abnormal number that's suddenly worrying. It's been just as worrying all along.
