I promise you at some point in history some Indians were sitting around a fire bitching about how they wish those white devils would get back on a boat and go back to where they belong.
Some point in history? I would say the day we landed and every day since.

You could say that about every single country in existence, though. They were all populated by some sort of immigrants, nomads, whatever.

Fucking LOL a_skeleton_03. That is a good one. We all know Catholics stand for abortion, women reproductive rights, and for freedom of divorce.

LOL at catholic been liberals.. really.
Since people keep dragging him up on that (which he later claimed was sarcasm) - Catholics are one of the most liberal religious groups technically speaking, and as I stated earlier in my experience they tend towards blue in blue states and red in red.

By Religious Affiliation | Pew Research Center Public Life Project- just 5 years ago the religion as a whole leaned slightly Democrat. And even with their most recent polling it's only 42D to 47R - so clearly there's going to be plenty of "Democratic Catholic" regions.

As it shows, Protestants and Mormons are heavy R - rest are split and Jews are heavy D. (Although Heavy D I believe wasn't a Jew)

If a_skeleton_03 went with, 'Don't assume Catholics are conservative' he'd be correct if misguided in his unneeded correction. But he said that 'Catholics are liberal' and went with thesarcasm defenselater.

If only the Indians had some "laws" against people coming to their land and committing genocide against them, maybe they should have written it down on paper, damn technicalities!

This is what you sound like.

Apples and Oranges, but a great strawman. I love Eddie. I'm not talking about a group of people showing up on our shores and then imposing THEIR immigration laws on us. We are talking about people already here deciding how OUR immigration laws should apply to people coming here. The two are directly opposite of one another and Eddie's video has zero relevance to this situation. But thanks for trying.

While the country was founded on immigrants, these are different times. There are reasons that those restrictions were put in place. Late 1800 and early 1900 cannot be compared to whats going on today. Im an immigrant myself. But we did shit legally, we had green cards waiting for us here and now Im a citizen.

What are you suggesting here, bro? They open up the boarders and just let people in? Because we feel bad for them? Whose gonna pay to take care of them? Whose gonna test them all for diseases and immunize them all? Whose gonna check into their past and figure out if that they are not criminals?
No one is saying that. I just find the righteousness that some of these people have on top of American mountain looking down at immigrants.

"THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST ILLEGALLY SHOWING UP HERE RABBLE RABBLE"
- Person whose family just showed up here

The lack of empathy is the biggest point. I dont think anyone is saying "let every person ever into America". But the opposition sounds more like sociopaths getting some kind of sick enjoyment out of this rather than a measured opposition to illegal immigration.

Yeah I agree with you. To me there is nothing more American than to risk everything to immigrate to America.

It's an issue that's been building up for years. People are just fed up. They aren't sociopaths, they are fed up.. With all the other issues we are facing, this is the last one we should have to be throwing money at. It needs to be solved and solved for good. It's costing tax payers way too fucking much money.

Btw.. whatever they do with the kids, they need to not allow them to petition for family in the future.

Sounds better than the AFB building they're currently using, and don't see any citation that they're keeping any of the amenities after the renovation, so calling it a vacation is quite premature ATM.

I'm sure the organization looked at is as an opportunity to get private rooms for each party rather than caring about the luxury elements even if they keep them, I'm not sure exactly what AFB accommodations they have currently, but the visions I get of such involve tons of people in one room with bunks. The group in that article says it was once an orphanage - nothing about an AFB building seems like an orphanage to me - so they're probably just trying to get back to their roots of which a hotel is a better jumping off point.

Additionally the "cost" quoted is the contract they've got, the terms could be very long since I don't see it listed anywhere.

50 Million for 600 beds! Using my common core math, that works out to about $83k per person! What a fucking deal!!!! Thanks Obama!!

Just for shits and giggles, per Expediahttp://www.expedia.com/Flights-Searc...my&mode=search
Departing from Houston, one way to Mexico City, tickets average for around $300 bucks. That means for the same $50 million, you could fly about 166k illegals back home.

Here's the problem, though: lack of immigration control is actuallydamagingto immigration and the melting pot that America is based on. People from countries that are not physically connected to or who live in Mexico don't have the opportunity to come over and 'get in' around the system.

If immigration wasproperlyreformed and we kept out people who just wandered across our borders, you could open up proper immigration channels to reach more people. I mean, I would be pretty pissed if it was my dream to move to America but I couldn't because green cards were restricted to certain skilled people meanwhile Mexicans can just walk in. Those are the people that are taking REAL immigrants (including other Mexicans who won't risk or can't afford to do so) slots. I think it's naive to only look at those crossing borders as 'dreamers'. They are people who are screwing others out of opportunity. Yet as a country we just let it happen because we don't have a policy construct that actually connects our capacity for net (real) influx and our current immigration policies and limits. It doesn't take a genius to figure out 500K/yr immigrants - 450K illegals = 50K legal immigrant spots left over.* Pointing out that we are too restrictive and that is why they circumvent normal immigration policies is ignoring the fact that if they didn't, we could loosen the net to allow more people in through said system.

*Numbers pulled out of ass to illustrate concept.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

EXCLUSIVE: Released Alien from Border Crisis Arrested for Alleged Murder, Kidnapping in Texas

Guy was caught and released in June. Just a matter of time before one of these catch and release guys goes and blows something up. But I think the democrats will just plug their fingers in their ears if that topic is brought up.
The other option was to detain him in which case b_tard would be here bitching about how Obama is breaking the law that requires him to release aliens with a notice to appear in court
