So his excuse for how he thinks is wrapping his lips around a lead clarinet or something?

Usually think of metal bands in the other context, but the "heavy metal" band as in literal heavy metal instruments seems to fit him better.

most americans support the ACA and single payer in general.
A Rasmussen Reports poll in April 2014 found that only 37 percent of Americans favored single-payer. And although the proposal has largely been out of the public debate since before Obamacare became law, earlier polling also didn't find clear support.

In 2009, with the Obamacare bill being pushed in Congress, filmmaker Michael Moore said a majority of Americans favored a single-payer system. PolitiFact National rated his statement False.

Polls had consistently shown that a majority of Americans wanted some form of universal health care coverage - they want uninsured people to have insurance -- but there was wide disagreement about how to do that. For example, some people supported keeping the current the system, but with tax credits to help uninsured people buy private insurance, while others backed requiring employers to provide employee health insurance, or to pay into a government fund that would pay to cover those without insurance.

In other words, not majority support for a government-run health insurance system.

Araysar maybe you should stick to quoting articles. At least there would be a few facts in there that support your statements.

You're both right depending on what you're going for - the majority of people support the ACA being TWEAKED INTO SOMETHING BETTER (i.e. they like it as a whole but have a few problems with it) - but most people don't think it's perfect as it stands.

That's the reason the "should the ACA be repealed" polling comes in so low. But yet you can show ones like that.CNN Poll: Should Obamacare be kept or repealed? CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

(TL;DR - 61% say we should keep the ACA [49% with tweaks, 12% as-is] - only 39% are for getting rid of it [18% with something completely new (single-payer or death people would be here) and 21% with the old system] - or in short - only 21% of people want it the way it was before the ACA)

I would be shocked if anyone was opposed to an option, sorry, affordable option to get healthcare through the government. The issue is everyone else having to pay more, considerably more, in my case, nearly double what our insurance cost prior to Obamacare. For two fucking trillion dollars, I expected more to say the least.

And you didn't need a massive, aggressive takeover of the entire industry and trillions of dollars to accomplish that. But its government, not at all surprised. Whenever you put politicians in charge of.....well basically anything, expect massive spending, chaos, and incompetence.

Healthcare is just such a mystery. I mean, will anyone ever figure out a way to provide quality healthcare to every citizen for a fraction of what we're currently spending? Anyone at all?

Just such a mystery.

Merlin, seriously, if you are going to speak out against government waste, especially in regards to government programs, surely you have an answer to why foodstamps are good for you but not for others. What makes you deserving of government subsidies but makes other people not?
