When did we switch from coerce to compel? When someone is in a susceptible state (ie: drunk), it is significantly easier to convince them to do things they would normally not agree to do. Just because you are aware of this when you drink, it doesn't give the rest of the world carte blanche to take advantage of your state to, for example, get you to sign a contract or, alternatively, to fuck you.

Come on, whoever the fuck you are.
You just love latching onto something thats incorrect in the first place, making a false equivalence to something only tenuously related and then proclaiming these things as accepted facts. Are you aware of this?

Actually in terms of primates. there is only one group where the women chooses without concecuences.

here are some mating rituals for gorillas

now chimpanzees

And from sexual coersion in wiki
Most of the stuff you just linked agrees with me, other than the last bit. It's not surprising that there would be a few particularly rapey apes among the branches of the evolutionary tree.

Also in your last example, it says they bite even when the female isn't resisting. Maybe those apes are just into kinky shit.

Then it could pretty easily be argued, despite your previous claim that such is not the case, that the person taking advantage of a drunk person is, in fact, "making" something happen. You know, by being the driving force behind the action that was undertaken.

I repeat:

Why are you air quoting "making"? Is it because you don't want it to mean the literal meaning ofmaking something happenwhich is to take direct action?

You don't get to recharacterize "making" something happen to just "the person whose idea it was". Making someone do something or forcing them implies they had no choice.

I repeat:

Do you disagree?
Yes, its wrong in about three different ways

Do you disagree?
When someone is drunk is not a carte blanche to do illegal things to him/her. Period.

When someone is drunk the law states that his drunkenness is not an excuse, nor a reason for his behavior and his actions. This is not for debate, I would hope that you agree to that. If he performs an illegal action while drunk, it will be the same as if he performs an illegal action while he is not drunk. You keep coming back to contracts when you haven't acknowledge Cads response, nor mine to begin with.

So you half agree with yourself and half agree with yourself that you are wrong.

"Dolphin rape" generated a lot of clickbait article headlines, but if you actually read the research, it's male dolphins raping other male dolphins, and no forced copulation between males and females has ever been observed.

You guys are also conflating aggressive behaviors used to attract females with rape. If two rednecks fight over a woman, and the woman later has sex with the victor, that's not rape.

We are actually using the literal meaning of the word coerce.

The majority of what you linked agrees with me, and the remainder doesn't actually contradict me. Buy some reading comprehension.

What the fuck are you talking about? Of course if you do something illegal it's your fault whether or not you were drunk. We're talking about having something done TO YOU when you're drunk. AndYES, being convinced to do something you wouldn't do when sober is having something done TO YOU.

If I pay a drunk guy 50 bucks to chop off his pinky, then yes, I MADE THAT HAPPEN. I was the instigator. I was the driving force. I took advantage of someone's susceptible state to bring about a result I desired. Jesus Christ you guys, it's like you perform Olympic-level logic-dodging just to avoid uncomfortable truths. I get it from Cad. He's a lawyer. It's his job to skirt around the truth and dwell on half-truths or irrelevant tangents in order to reach a desired conclusion. You, on the other hand, must just be an idiot.

I also like how I'm sticking up for men, while the men are sticking up for rape. You're not helping yourselves here.

I can't really think of any crime thats been committed if you pay a drunk guy to cut off his pinky. Thats perfectly legal as far as I know.
