You don't get to recharacterize "making" something happen to just "the person whose idea it was". Making someone do something or forcing them implies they had no choice.

When someone is drunk the law states that his drunkenness is not an excuse, nor a reason for his behavior and his actions. This is not for debate, I would hope that you agree to that.
