I absolutely hate listening to Mark talk but I'm glad to see that he's not only trying something different here but he's trying to stick to his guns on certain design principles. One can certainly argue that him sticking to his guns was part of the problem with WAR but I still believe that a lot of the failures from WAR came from the hype generated by Hickmann & Barnett while key core components of the game remained broken (mythic seconds).
Luckily it looks like Mark has a young staff ready to chomp at the bit while targetting that niche group and ifCamelotUnchainedcan deliver on the majority of the elements being proposed then I will gladly continue to give them my money. I find it funny that some of the design elements he speaks about have been touched upon in other threads and definitely speak to what some of us want but the sheer vitriol against the man will prevent people from supporting it.
