the whole thing is sketchy. if he funds the rest, there'll be a spin on their mantra ("if 2mil not met, then won't be made"). else, it'll be some 3rd party with some interest/behindthedoorbenefits on it that won't be seen on the ks. get as much nonbinding vc, subsidize the rest.

It certainly is shady but no Kickstarter doesn't allow it. He was quoted as saying he will only put up the additional funds ($3 million total - $2 million secured by him and $1 million secured by unknown source) if the Kickstarter goal is met.

OK, good. Despite my negativity on thinking this will ever see the light of day, I hope it gets funded just for the chance of a little diversity in the genre.

Kickstarters typically get most of their pledges at the beginning and end of the campaigns. A couple days ago it didn't look very good forCamelotbut things are picking up. Still going to be tight though.
I hope it makes it. We need more variety in the mmo space. Way too many WoW clones around. I really don't understand how people can get excited over another one, like Wildstar, etc.
Mark Jacobs isn't my preferred dev to do something different but not many are even trying, so I wish him the best.

I've been following most of the updates and while some of his ideas are pretty archaic, some sound pretty cool on paper. I'd be interested to hear how Draegan's interview with him went but I imagine he didn't glean anymore information than what's already out there plastered all over the update section of their Kickstarter.

There will be a massive push/growth as this thing closes out so I think it'll be close. If it does hit 2million, paypal will open up and I think the stretch goals will be reached fairly easily at that point.they gotta make another 400k in 69 hours. Don't see it happening

Cool, Mark has been hanging out on my groups boards now for a while and posting asking us what we want/like in an MMO. I was stunned when he actually came onto our vent channel and was asking us what we like in MMO's and what our opinions were.
I'm really hoping he listened to us and takes our suggestions seriously.

@interview: imo have clemetine do something instead awkward interjections. i forgot that she was there half the time; have her read some questions... at the least. nothing really new or questions that were overly hard pressing but otherwise a good general interview.
I really enjoyed Warhammer...it had it's problems but the concept of zone control, city sieges and opening up warfront/maps was pretty cool. Also, tanks had very cool features such as protecting people behind them etc......
