Nomad ending is the closest thing to a "happy ending" in this game.

All the other endings are varying degrees of shit sandwiches

The variant ending of The Sun where
Rogue
doesn't die arguably isn't too bad either.

To be clear, the ending is the worst part of PL - you're not supposed to be a rational adult, you're supposed to die young and pretty, and so they contrive reasons for no one to be with you so you're standing there alone. Hating Panam specifically because everyone ditches you in the new ending is a bit wonky. (Especially given the level of nonsense involved - an airplane ticket is enough to get you and Kerry back together, after all.)

Though keep in mind even in the Nomad ending of the base game, the guys will break up with you - apparently having two of the romantic interests in the same room at one time is beyond the scope of the game.

The PL ending purposefully punishes you for choosing it, I found it disturbing. Luckily you can ignore the option and take a regular ending.

Doesn't make me hate any characters, just helps understand them better.

Panam specifically needs a cyberpsycho to magically fix the shit she gets herself into with her recklessness, without it she's the same disaster you found her as.

Just started the DLC and had an lol moment

At the first hideout a couple enemies show up and Myers wants to blast em. I chose the option to try and talk to them, but then almost immediately blew them up with the launch system.

To which Myers said "they left me no choice". Bitch, I did that

The DLC is pretty awesome. I was scared I was going too fast through it so I looked and I'm barely a quarter in.

I loved the semi-ending they did with the DLC. It had an end of movie James Bond kind of vibe to it which was well done.

Now "I" am getting an urge to reload the game....

Speaking of Cyberpunk, Netflix just teased there might be another Cyberpunk anime

That would be nice, but doubtful. Trigger are busy with other projects I think. In any event, I suspect it would be a completely new story with new original characters

I see now why people were saying having a cyberdeck no longer matters much in the grand scheme of things when it comes to keeping up with the amount of eddies you need to buy and upgrade everything. It's because they nerfed the sell value of quickhacks into the fucking ground (from ~25k down to ~1700) in one of the patches after PL's release. Edit: And the worst part is that it still costs about 150k to buy all the crafting recipes to upgrade quickhack components, which is just like setting those eddies on fire at this point.

Still worth using a deck for most of the leveling process though. It's decent money at low/mid levels just from the access points themselves, you need to get your Netrunner skill to 35 for the extra perk point, and most importantly, low-tier sandevistan and berserk OS suck anyway. It might be worth switching to berserk in the 30's whenever you have enough materials to upgrade it to T5, but sandevistan is pointless since you can't buy an Apogee at all until you're level 40.

The anime was awesome. Watching the character go from newb to badass really made the show. I'd love to see them do new missions with new parties. Maybe have crossovers where character A is working with a new team.

Ok you peeps that played through the PL DLC tell me something I got to the part where
Songbird and I went to the shuttle out to space and she admitted she fucked me over too. I gave her to Reed. He took her off in a flying thing and said he'd be in touch then something a lot like the end of game credits played
is that it for the DLC or is that one of the endings? It let me go back and basically said to mess around until he calls.

I believe for that ending, yes - if I'm remembering correctly. There are alternative ones, though.

No, it's not quite done. Wait until he calls, like he told you to.

So don't do the asian sister quest line from the main game? I left off as when I went to meet her it gave warning of 'no return'. Gotta admit I'm really really loving this game this play through modded to the gills with all the visuals turned up. Hate the tracking in dogtown but the rest of it is really good.

Correct. His call will trigger the choice to get an alternate ending to the game.

It takes a few days, but he will call you and say that the solution is ready and to call him if you want to go through with it. If you go through with it, you get the PL ending to the game (which is completely detached from the original endings)
