I'm finally getting into this game while not knowing much about it besides the obvious. Any must-have mods I should get for a first time playthrough? No spoilers please.

I played with no mods. The game is great without them. I would do a basic run through before trying out mods. Enjoy playing one of the top 5 PC games of all time so far.

I did a playthrough right before the DLC, and then two more after. No mods are necessary to really enjoy this one. It’s an all-timer

The game has way too many cutscenes. I got sick of it when John Wick showed up
Nahh the game has a great story. And while I fucking HATE in game stories for the most part because they are all cheese fest tropey and predictable, this one was def one of the better ones. And I quite enjoyed it.

Agree, the game didn’t really deliver as an rpg, but it’s a great open world action game with terrific writing and characters.

Re-installed to finally start the dlc last night. Gonna be a much different experience with the 2.0 update and an ultrawide HDR OLED. One thing I noticed is performance has improved. DLSS tech has gotten better since 2021 I guess. FPS seems to have improved despite going ultrawide.

Funny random moment of retardery - I realized I never actually played the last main story mission and rolled the credits. Don’t want to spoil anything for new players, so I’ll just say those of you who have completed it can probably guess why I was distracted.

If you enjoy driving the cars, there is a mod to add real world cars to the game. I really really enjoyed that mod. It had a car that I personally owned when I was 18 that I drove every where. I also added had a mod that allowed me to add my own music as a radio station. The rest are filler. The base game is great.

Really enjoying Cyberpunk, a few hours in and I'm hoping the game part starts soon.

It does once the other areas open up, just mix in other activities with the main quest.

Just did the Heist mission, I recorded a video of me doing it. With a full assault weapon build.

Enjoying the game so far. About to go to a parade or something.

I've started tweaking the visuals. The amount of dumb garbage they have as the default for "ultra" is ridiculous. I didn't understand it until I looked up their visuals director and found it's Bubbles for TPB

Turning Chromatic Abberation off makes the game look soooo much better. Really this whole section can be thrown into the dumpster.

Not sure how it'll look in all circumstances but

[Developer/FeatureToggles]
VolumetricFog = False

in Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc\rendering.ini

makes the game look way better too for those weird indoor scenes that looks like someone is perpetually burning bacon.

left is with that True, right is False. You can't disable it in the game...

If you really want to get into visual tweaking to make the game look way better than default, check out this guy's mods:

I use most of his stuff and the game looks so much better. I can't remember which LUT I settled on, but the best thing to do is DL them all and use his LUT switcher to swap between them in game until you find the one you like best.

Feels like 50% of this game is about making degenerate brain dances. Everytime this game reminds me of how disgusting it is I can only think about this scene and how every NCPD crime in progress mission is me taking a pair of pliers and a blowtorch to this city.
