Tyler Mane's Sabertooth wasn't all that great, he was basically just a dumb big grunt with maybe one line in the entire film and Liev Shrieber's was probably a highlight of that terrible terrible X-Men Origins movie, but if you're going to play on nostalgia feels, bringing back Tyler Mane is the better (and cheaper, as was said) choice. X-Men is still quite appreciated by the fanbase, while Wolverine Origins is laughing stock.
Plus Tyler Mane's version actually looks a bit like the X-Men comics/animated series character somewhat, Liev Shrieber's Sabertooth is just Liev Shrieber with dirty long nails (and runs like a goof on all four).

Apparently Ryan caught wind of this and called TJ and had a conversation with him and TJ has since changed his tune. Now Ryan "is so incredibly nice and just a kind, understanding person" even though he previously accused Ryan of even stealing his jokes during the bar scene and numerous other shit.
