Looks like there was a crazy deal on larger monitors the other day

Not required to go in anyone direction maybe just get a big one
Shit, I sort of want to build a 360 ring of curved monitors now. Surely that would be useful for something, right?

Is it acting like you want a new computer weird, or is it acting like you haven't done a fresh install of Windows in 2 years weird?
it is a fresh install of windows

could be 2H24 problems

was fine for a month though, a month of playing only poe...

Windows 11 is straight up trash. 24H2 made 7950X3D less laggy in normal use, but it still isn't Windows 10, and Windows 10 was a waddling pig itself. Also, best install is a tweakless Windows 11 install. I tried Explorer Patcher and it turned the OS into an even bigger mess. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up back on Windows 10 because MS keeps stacking shit on top of shit.

Yes you can pretend you're in a last gen camaro
Tbh, I'm not sure what this means, so I'm going to pretend you said first gen and enjoy the fleeting nostalgia instead of googling what's shitty about the new/last camaro and getting sad.

requisitioned for a build , want to build around a three curved monitor setup with an arm to connect them - trying to keep it under $600ish and spend the rest on the PC

Suggestions?
What are you trying to do that requires 3 monitors? Simrigs have dedicated monitor stands for this stuff.

Hmm one more reason not to install 2H24 until it makes me.
Pretty sure Windows put my SSD to sleep and then didn't know how to wake it back up.

It only happened once and I can't get it to do it again, even throwing a barrage of stress tests at the machine, but the whole drive vanished until reseated and it's a fairly new Samsung that's been playing PoE fine for a month straight. Also, PoE has crashed to desktop at least five times in the past month, but only when zoning, and other people seem to be having a lot more trouble.

But I'm one of those people who thinks every time they get a bluescreen they've gotta wipe and/or rebuild the entire machine, lol. My computer should never crash goddamnit, unless I'm undervolting which I don't do anymore.

I had a top of the line $250 Samsung SSD as my C: and it failed like a year in. Would not boot. Had to go out the next day and get another SSD at the local Best Buy.

I was cruising past Best Buy and thinking the exact same thing; went to Popeyes instead. Blackened tenders and a sammy > new SSD.

A bunch of those Samsung's had some internal issue that firmware "supposedly" fixed. Reported to be in several of their products, and two of my NVME's are Samsung. So I get it. I havent had any trouble out of mine, but just a suggestion if your problem truly is an SSD problem.

If you bought anything in late 2020 - 2021 from a company that had to go with alternate suppliers it is only a matter of time before the wiring acts up or the capacitors fail. GFCI keeps tripping? Better check what you have plugged in and when it was manufactured.
