I don't think I've ever put my PC on my desk. I don't want to see the lights, I don't care about looking at it, I never really understood that. Who cares what the fucking thing looks like. And I don't want to hear the damn thing right there. I don't care how quiet of a setup you have, you're still going to hear it. And I don't want to have the space taken up either. I totally understand the dust/etc issue though.

Thankfully, I've got my wife convinced to let me run my computer wires through the wall in my office into the next room and mount my PC on the wall in there and sort of "mask" it with photos or decorations. Boom. PC not on the floor and I don't have to hear it. I have a USB 3.0 hub on my desk (and 2.0 on my keyboard), my USB docking station that I bought when I was drunk that someone had posted about a couple days ago, and a multi-card reader. Wtf do I need to see/hear my computer for? NOTHING DAMNIT! Winning, duh.

Only issue I see now is that I don't think my ASUS Maximus Hero VIII allows booting up via keyboard or mouse. The last time I had wires ran through the wall into another room with the PC I just booted up by pressing enter. Maybe I can hardwire a power button or something.

I just take my PCs into the garage every few months and give them a good blow down with the compressor on low. (Yeah yeah, people tell me not to do this but I have been doing this since like 2000 without even one incident not even one fan damaged, lol.) Cleans them like new. All my comps are on the floor. Who wants some shitty boxes cluttering up the desk? On the desk should be monitor, keyboard and mouse. Oh, and some speakers if you got them.

The problem is that I don't have enough room to put it on the floor beside my desk, so it's actually under my desk, and I keep kicking it. Also, as soon as it gets cold, the baseboard radiator is right next to it, that's going to be a problem.

Mine is on the floor under / next to my desk and makes a great foot stool. Plus I took one of those gel filled wrist things and use it under my heel. Shit is comfortable.

Yup. The last 3~ years for me it has been a glorious leg rest.

Mist doesn't have that option though. Ya know, perfect posture and all.

Yea, there's no way I am putting my case on my desk. Between all of the LEDs they slap on cards and MBs these days, I don't want that distraction. Plus, despite putting water cooling and silent case fans, the thing still makessomenoise. Why put it right next to my head? My case came with filters over all of the intake vents on the case. I simply pop them right out and wash them down every month or two no problem. Then clean my case out once a year or so, if needed. Putting your PC on the floor is no big deal.

You need a monitor Mist? I've got a couple of old 24" and 27" that I'm not using. I'm sure you can work something out with a_skeleton_02 and I'd be happy to provide.
