I also left out the DIY area's manager was some mega lispy dude, the employee's seemed to avoid him as much as possible.Must be a Denver thing, my microcenter is pretty norm, it’s like Bestbuy but better and with relevant inventory and employees.
Basically what they say is, "please don't give us anymore bad press". The dude who is only like a month in to his new PR gig is probably already doing interviews at other companies.I made it through like 5 minutes of those guys talking at 2x and can't watch the video. I can't imagine they say anything of value

while it's necessarily necessary, every chef eats their own food, every waiter samples the menu to explain to customers what it tastes likeMain talking dude at the end of the table is such a fucking douche. VP on the left side of the table, who's been in CS for 17 years apparently, is quite INCOMPETENT.
Newegg is pretty retarded to have this meeting to be so formal. They should've just had a single sincere spokesperson.
I just fast forwarded to the TLDR at the end of the video.
Those are execs. Its like asking our exec at a multi billion dollar automotive car company making Interior parts for the tier ones, if he ever engineered a interior part. Also most "chain" restaurants have execs too that probably never tried the shitty food they serve. Let alone make a pie in the back with the chef.while it's necessarily necessary, every chef eats their own food, every waiter samples the menu to explain to customers what it tastes like
tech jesus could have asked "show of hands who has actually built their own pc"?
bet you no one raises their hands and that would have destroyed their rep even more.
look i know, you don't have to use the shit in the place you work at, but it gives credibility, like if you watch linus, 99% of all employees that get the free pc upgrade, jesus christ
MS used to make everyone use the company's products. Now, NONE of the UI team use Windows.while it's necessarily necessary, every chef eats their own food, every waiter samples the menu to explain to customers what it tastes like

Was browsing the hated Newegg for something else and checked GPU stock. They appear to have a decent amount of Asus cards at (sorry) reasonable prices. I am looking at the TUF 6800 ($1k)and FWIW I paid about $929 for a TUF 6700XT maybe two months ago. 3080s and 3070TI ($969) there too and I paid about $1k for a Strix 3070/trash PSU combo from their shuffle 4 or 5 months ago.

Sometimes it's better just to buy it and move on. I was taking my time deciding and 90 minutes later both the 6800 and 6800XT were gone. I've been waiting for this mem kit to go on sale again (to pair with my existing kit) and now it is out of stock and likely won't ever be coming back since I doubt they make it anymore. I won the shuffle months ago on a 3080 strix that was paired with a monitor I didn't want for $1200 and months later I ended up with 3070 and a PSU even less useful than the monitor for $1,000. The extra money I would have spent on these things would have paid for itself in time and hassle saved.Better off stalking AMD wed-fri for a drop at retail and getting the 6800XT
If you can get a 3080 FE at MSRP it's close, because you can easily shave 70W off the TDP of a 3080.I feel like the 6800XT is the "sweet spot" card. Roughly better performance than the 3080 and 3080Ti. Smashes the 6700XT and 3070s and is just a hair below the 6900XT and 3090. It also draws about 50W less power than the 3080Ti and 3090. As long as you don't care about ray-tracing, the 6800XT fucks.
Best Buy still sells FE cards at MSRP.Only place I know that still sells at msrp is EVGA itself and their waiting lists.
