Yep. Both brands are flat.
Not to me, and not worth the upgrade. Be a hard sale life wise to make the upgrade anyhow (need to stop falling apart first) I tell peeps all the time , if you think about going into pc's do drugs it's cheaper. There is a recent leak suggesting perhaps 18-20% single core improvement for 9000 X3D over 7000 X3D. Whether that's worth waiting 5 months is subjective.
5 months? isn't it supposed to be this month? There is a recent leak suggesting perhaps 18-20% single core improvement for 9000 X3D over 7000 X3D. Whether that's worth waiting 5 months is subjective.
at least if you buy team red, your shit won't blow up and you still have a path to upgrade from 7000 to 9000 cuz sockets won't changeThere is a recent leak suggesting perhaps 18-20% single core improvement for 9000 X3D over 7000 X3D. Whether that's worth waiting 5 months is subjective.

The 155H/165H already has pretty insane power to performance ratio. This new stuff will be great for laptop power saving.
If you are on AMD, no, it won't matter for a while. Techpowerup recently did a memory speed test between various DDR5 speeds on a 9950X and found the average difference in gaming was about 1% going from 6000 CL28 to 8000 CL38. If you are not currently running the best CPU and GPU, then any money spent on RAM beyond 6000 CL30 would be better spent upgrading the CPU/GPU tier. Beyond that, there are a lot of variables like Flck:Mclk ratios (still best at 1:1 for AMD), SoC power consumption taking away from available core power as RAM speed increases, and all of the various timings/sub-timings that are often very loose to achieve high memory speeds.Whats the general consensus on CUDIMMs for gaming when they release? Worth waiting another quarter for them? Are they expected to be an instant game changer or something that needs to age and refine for a bit?
i have a bequiet darkbase700, i like it stillWife and MIL have old ass PC's - I'm building them both a new PC for Christmas that is Windows 11 compatible. PC part picker is like a cheat code to build these things. This is my MIL's PC , wife is the same except she's getting the sexy ass Falcon North black wood mesh case I wanted (but my Video card was too large). Also I didn't pay that for Win 11, I got 2 keys for $26.
Wife knows it's coming but my Mother in Law has no idea (she's British hence Mum) - I recently had to repair her PC and while we had it I backed up everything on a thumb drive for the new PC.
