Yes am warlock and I made a little bit of progress. The key is not to play Iron Banner lol. Also thanks for the weapon tip; will go grab it.

Play control when Iron Banner is going. The hardcore PVPers will be in IB so your odds of getting to play against less experienced players is higher. Also, be defensive. Find a chokepoint to sit at and let the enemy come to you.

The more you practice the better you will get. I went from god awful at pvp to semi-decent by the time I finished my Thorn bounty.

After enduring countless hours of God awful groups I, finally, finished all my clears. Picked up The Last Word but I'm not overly impressed. Am I missing something?

It's mostly nice in PVP because of how quickly it fires and being able to shoot well from the hip. For PVE you probably have better options.

Last Word doesn't super shine until you have it leveled up. Max that stability and profit. Amazing for pvp, but as mentioned above, not the best tool for pve that you can get. Good, but not best.

Best advice for an newb player? im a Warlock. like level 7 right now. trying to learn what the hell is actually going on. I know i get quests and go, but is there a good website to go too for this game?

The omnigul strike isn't really that bad, even with arc burn. It's good for farming glimmer and with a decent group can be cleared in around 20-25 minutes. I ran the weekly version a few extra times for farming glimmer.

Just go to your map and do whatever is still blinking. Story missions give a big exp bonus the first time you run through them, so they are the easiest way to get experience. You can get to level 20 in about 10 hours, after that it's gear/rep farming.

I just hit 32 on my first character after 180 hours active, according to Destiny Status. Other two characters are 28/29 with just over 20 hours each.

Be sure to grab the daily bounties offered by the vanguard robot while you are doing the story missions. They give alot of XP at a low level and most will get done as you are progressing through the story naturally.

I have been wanting to play this game since Day 1, but never got the chance to. I finally picked it up and I am about to install it. Is the game still going strong? Good community? And last but not least, is there a good website you guys are using for information/loot?

Reddit can be your main source for all things Destiny.

/r/destinythegame - for all your general information, weekly things like special events, strikes, merchant loot to watch for
/r/fireteams - this is where you'll find yourself groups once you're 27+ and looking to do Nightfall strikes and raids
/r/destinysherpa - this is a group of people - Sherpas - that welcome newcomers to raids and don't mind teaching you the ropes

DestinyDB for looking up items, especially if you are curious about what perks a weapon/armor can roll.
Xurday.com every Friday for checking up on Xur's new loot and location

I just got it myself, you run into people all the time, but low levels its really just soloing your way through. I mean i have done a few events with random people> just join in and kill shit.

Yep, just click the blinking stuff and work your way through the story. You'll hit 20 before you finish the story (if you grab a few bounties along the way). The story won't make a whole lot of sense but once you hit 20 the game changes and it won't really matter. Game gets better imo once you hit 20. Lots more to do (raids, Nightfalls, weeklies, legendary gear/weapons, exotics, grouping for stuff, etc )

Wow this heroic weekly is bringing out the fails. People cannot seem to not die. They cant avoid the arc damage. Its like watching people stand in fire again.

For those that don't want to, or can't read the upcoming patch notes, the vault is going from 20 armor, 20 weapon, 20 general to 24 armor, 36 weapons, 24 general items. A very minor upgrade. Their reasoning is that the PS3/360 doesn't have the memory to show more items on screen at once (they even had to disable item comparison in the vault on those consoles to get it to work). I wish they would have just given us vault tabs. 50 slots in each tab, the tabs would be armor, general, and weapons (or even weapons broken down by type).

edit: and the random 36 for weapons was to allow each exotic, including HoW, to fit in your vault.

LOL, people wont be able to keep anything then. They have 3 more DLC's that haven't even come out yet, with a Full expansion...

This could easily be the dumbest thing Bungie has done in the game.

If they can't make the tabs work, let each one of your characters have individual bank spaces with a share slot of say 6...

That will triple the space right there
