I dont quite grasp the usefulness of nighthawk - When i pug with rando's they go on and on about needing nighthawk for Oryx - however we kill him just fine on 1st attempt. I know ive used it on the echo form of him a few times during his raid encounter for the 40k+ hit but when you happen to miss it like...dam!

Mainly ive just not seen a use for it yet and id rather have my extra golden gun shot atm.

Is the damage from one golden gun crit enough to offset the loss of Shadowshot for the entire group? I feel like during a major damage phase that would actually end up being more damage.

Also, how do I rep up with Variks? I'm rank 0 with him so I can't buy heavy synths.

Bad Juju is fun as shit, as pulse rifles go. They're not really my style but I love using it.

I tend to use Monte Carlo in Crucible, personally.

I got killed many times last night with monte carlo in this one crucible match. So yeah its a good gun for sure. Also, protip: make sure you guys keep one of the +armor gear if you have any for upcoming PvP. It will say something like Additional defense while using a fire based class or something like that. It basically turns some of those 2-3 burst/shot weapons into 3-4 burst/shot to kill you which makes a difference.

Yeah, I'm infusing up a legendary drop that has excellent perks for me but dropped at 276 armor. It has scout rifle ammo, sniper rifle ammo, and void armor, with int/str. Couldn't ask for better on a nightstalker.

Bought Heart of the Praxic Fire today and had a Helmet decrypt into The Stag. Puts me just shy of 250. Mind you I'm not running the highest level stuff but I'm still finding that my Gjallarhorn is really good. 2 shots, tracking and wolfpack rounds still do a ton of damage since I haven't gotten a good Rocket Launcher for Year 2 yet. I make sure to equip a different Heavy when decrypting stuff though.

I've been trying to get the Rocketyard Champion done but it seems people avoid that one. Not surprising since it's tucked further back in the Cosmodrome but still annoying.

One of them is really fucking annoying, forgot his name, but its the one next to the old loot cave. Man that fucker chains those blind bubbles and is surrounded by 10 fucking snipers that instantly re-spawn when you kill them. There is another one of those types of bosses on Venus on the shores. The others are pretty easy to solo once youre in the 280+ light range. It takes forever and you will die, but its doable.

The one by loot cave always has like 10 people so he is super easy, annoying yes.

The one in Rocketyard is the roughest one. I took 2 other people there and we failed him once and went and did the other ones with easy.

Which place is the rocket yard? (I never remember the names of the places, lol) the one by the entrance to that old vanilla strike? If so, that one I soloed as well, the hard time I had with that one is getting to all the lieutenants on time and killing them since they randomly spawn all over the fucking place.

The area when you're headed to the very first strike - Devil's Lair. That dude is the guy who chains the blind. Me and some random dude were trying to get him yesterday and after I died about 10 times, he despawned. So annoying. I'm 269 light I think.

So it seems they must switch their abilities around randomly then. Because when I was fighting that dude he was shooting flames at me, not the blind bubble. also in the area where the fallen walker event hapens, I have seen the dude shoot flames and the dude with the blind bubbles, so I think its just random.

The kiosk version of the nighthawk is much better than the one xur is selling(i hate how exotics have random perks now). So if you have the y1 nighthawk, you can buy it out of the kiosk for 150 marks. If you dont have 150 marks or the y1 nighthawk, get the Xur one for now and ditch it later for the kiosk y2 version.

Boss guy shoots fire, he spawns lots of captains that fire the blind bubbles. The whole thing becomes a huge mess. Need at least 3 people to kill him before despawn, and even then it can be close.

Depends where he spawns, I was kind of lucky where he spawned. In the rocket yard there is many obstacles you can hide behind. I hid behind some crate things that had a nice gap in between them that I just pew-pewed through, few rockets helped, telesto helped as well until he was dead. But again, I did this when I was 290+ light to finally catch up on all my quests. I had basically the same problem, I would show up and no one was there, ever. so finally I just decided to yolo the guy. You will die, but the rez timer is short and you spawn in in the same area, real close.

In other news, a thing that pisses me off is the queens faction crap. I finished all her chores all of variks chores and like 3 weekly bounties show up. So thats 1K faction every week and I think I need like 5K more for rank 3. Sucks for those that didnt play through HoW stuff. They shoud rethink shit like that and have other avenues to getting those off the beaten path factions, especially if they hide a decent exotic behind them which other people that played through HoW had in the first week. Yeah its one fucking gun and it probably isnt all that great, but still, fuck that. I dont mind working for my crap, but getting cockblocked by timed faction gains is fucking stupid IMO.
