Yeah I agree. They should allow you to swear allegiance to The Queen or Variks with glimmer, just like they do with Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, etc.

I'm in the same boat as you, it's gonna be a month or so before I can hit level 3 with either.

Finally got him.

Tried soloing him and the problem I had was with the Lieutenants. The Rocketyard is BIG so it was a challenge to kill them all in the time allotted. I had one attempt where I killed all 3 in time and spawned the boss. I had him down to 10% when I ate a death and couldn't get back in time before he despawned.

I waited around and another person showed up looking for him too. We breezed through it and killed him in no time.

So I came back to this after a huge break ( I quit before the first dlc came out )and I started a Voidwalker. Just so happened to have a maxxed out Bad JuJu in my vault from my Titan days and saw it gives extra super charge / instant reload on kills so I equip it and this thing is a BEAST. I remember it used to be a piece of shit but now its godly. Also saw that it got a year 2 version aswell so I'm making a B line for that as soon as I can start farming vanguard marks. Did all the shit once upon a time exotics get this kind of treatment?

Just did it in 3 matches on classic control playlist - get heavy weapon ammo and wait around corners for unsuspecting victims - rinse and repeated - i also had my exotic arc sword swapped to alt and just flung out bolts at range

Finally had time to try King's Fall. Made it all the way to the 2 sisters room or whatever that room is called. Fun fights in KF but the loot is terrible. Our entire team got nothing but shards from every boss and chest along the way (other than a few calcified fragments), except for one gloves that happened to drop for me, but they were only 3 light higher than my blue gloves and the perks weren't that great. What a letdown. Are the raid armor/weapons really rare and sucky, or did we just have bad rng luck?


edit: have the sisters room cp if any of you KF raid vets wanna finish (or advance) the raid sometime this weekend with me. I'm light 293 so not ideal, but it must not make much difference since I was out dpsing the light 297/8 guys on my raid team last night on the bosses that track event dps (I was just using 1000 yd stare so not sure why I was getting more than them).

No the loot is really that bad - the light level on gear is 100% random and stupid and loot rarity is just as stupid - the first night of the raid we made it to sisters and only 2 people got drops and it was a ghost shell and a gun of sorts after hours of wiping.

this week at 307 light i went to raid and only 2 drops i got were both 300 - so yeah its pretty much certain bungie went full retard when they were figuring out how to do loot this xpac.

Same here, 307/308 light and this week all my drops were 300-301, I had lots of drops though, 8 or 9. Just not a single upgrade.

All this commotion about hidden raid room is intriguing - i like that they added stuff like this in but you'd need to add a whole lot of stuff like this throughout the base game also

Should try the 20 strike list to mix it up. Same shit drops if not even more. I got a whole bunch of engrams last night, even some purps. Still can use the 3 of coins too. I even saw a guy in our team get 2 exotics from archon priest.

I ran regular strikes for 10-15 strikes. 1 purple. Ran heroic strikes 6 times. 4 purples 2 exotics.

Never again regular strikes. Never again.

Oh yeah, pro way to clear heroic strikes: void arrow hunt with "heavy kills can make orbs" with blessing of light titan with "heavy kills can make orb" perk and both use exotic swords with "chance ot make orb on heavy kill" + either another void hunter or hammer bro and you will clear strikes like it's nothing. It was just the hunter and I early on and we were generating between 30 and 40 orbs each. With the Titan perk and exotic sword it's about a 75% chance to make an orb on kill. Extra funny with bolt-caster as it owns shit from infinity distance and makes packs go *poof*.

The titan defender super kinda sucks but you can turn on weapons of light for extra dps for just general purposes.

Also, how did you use the exotic sword to complete the quest for the exotic sword?

I only had enough time today to run the daily crucible and heroic story, but I popped a 3oC right before the echo of oryx fight at the end and got a Jade rabbit.

You don't need ammo for your sword to use it, though it will take a couple hits. Got a couple friends to run the legacy 3v3 rumble and just killed each other, works for Chaperone shotgun too.

Anyone heard about another gunsmith quest at rank 5 for a hand cannon (not the hunter one), maybe called Final Curse?
