No its quite terrible really - the range is worse than some shotgunsPretty sure the hand cannon is fine, there are just better exotics.
you can solo agonarch pretty easy at 290+ and if you die you just spawn back and keep killing stuff. Its pretty easy finding people though using LFG since anyone who hasn't charged their rune will fully charge it while killing stuff. Also the chest you unlock at the end is openable for like 15 minutes by anyone who joins your fireteam, I did it once and then looted it on all 3 of my chars by having someone else stay in the room while I switched chars then he switched, you just need a charged rune to open the final chest - so if you do somehow fail you won't lose the charged rune anyways, its only consumed when you open the reward chest. worth looting 3x if you can since I got legendary engrams each time.I am at right around 30 calcified fragments and all done with the rest of the quest, going to try and get all the rest today. I can do 44 solo and then I have to choose T3, Agonarch, or one I missed in the raid between war priest and golg. I have the antiquated rune so will probably do that so I don't forget to before he rotates on Tuesday.
Count me in you filthy casual.Anyone have interest in forming up a reset day KF raid group?
Even on reset day, most of the PUGs I've ended up with are complete shit shows. I'm really sick of PUGs breaking up as soon as we get to Oryx without even attempting him. I still haven't managed to kill him and I'm not liking how this makes me feel like a casual.
Count me in Sarthis if you have space.....Caduceus888. I usually get home around 6 pm PST, dunno if that's an issue, I know when we used to kill Crota and such most of you guys were East Coasters and started earlier. I've been pugging Oryx the whole way and like you the mileage varies, it would be nice to be in a regular group. All my toons are 300+ now, I don't mind wiping with a mature group like I know you guys are/were, it's the kiddie pool in DestinyLFG that drives me crazy sometimes....people leaving after wiping one time on Oryx, etc.Anyone have interest in forming up a reset day KF raid group?

With a good group Kingfall is the easier that VOG IMO and would be easier than Crotas end if Crotas end didnt have so much cheese. Once you learn the mechanics the hardest part by far is all the jumping. Hard mode could change my opinion though.First crack at Oryx tonight and I was clearly the weak link. That shit is hard.
Cad what time do you normally get on Tuesday night? This is JonnieRipps btw.Count me in Sarthis if you have space.....Caduceus888. Anyways, if you see me on and you have space, count me in.
I also know all the secret chest locations and crystallized fragments, if you guys still need those.
I dont like it either. Its nice to clear out packs of minions in strikes, but other than that its crap. I hate how when you ADS this thing you cannot even see WTF youre shooting at because of the arc effects on the nose of the gun. super annoying. the only place I run thei sthing is in certain strikes with tons of trash mobs. I prefer the suros where it staggers the enemies and bosses and pounds them with force, including shieled and yellows.I guess im alone but i have no fondness of the supercell outside it being arc dmg and the go to weapon for that element type - I use my last extremity in almost all situations due to it having triple tap and firefly. Perhaps i didnt get a good stability perk roll on mine or something but it just seemed like shit with a good couple situation mainstay perks that are good for clearing tight clumps of enemies. I have a ToM for daughters/oryx and last extremity for anything else raid related.
Man red death is killer in PvP. Ive been running tons of PvP lately to figure out all the new maps (did not play since Crota) and luckily I got a red death to drop for me from that deceptive engram in the begining of yr two. So it ws the first yr 2 exotic I bought when I acquired 200 marks and had nothing to spend them on. and let me tell you the thing is a fucking beast in PvP. If you run aggresive ballistcs on it you can 2 shot people, but I opt for more range with mine so the headshots do 33 and can down someone with 3 bursts. the only thing that bests this gun is some of the godly Yr1 rolled auto rifles people stil use in regular crucible. I have also ben bested by handcanons close up and monte carlo as well with its fast TTK.Supercell is life. Anyone here going to be doing Iron Banner much? I'm probably going to buy a red death just for crucible soon.
Jonnnniiee!!Cad what time do you normally get on Tuesday night? This is JonnieRipps btw.
Yeah, last night was my first encounter with it. Some things you just need to die to once or twice to make them click. I think what made it seem difficult is how unforgiving the mechanics are if you fail. There's a lot of "oops, you missed a jump, auto-wipe" going on.With a good group Kingfall is the easier that VOG IMO and would be easier than Crotas end if Crotas end didnt have so much cheese.
