Eh. Not really. I play heavy enough to reach endgame on a starter one weekend then never more than 1-2 hrs a night during the week. I’ve never failed to at least hit red maps in a league, and the last 4 I’ve completed all endgame content I aimed at (UE and beyond). Never once have I really benefited from early economy.
I have a buddy. Plays about 4 hours per week. He cleared Uber elder in month one. That’s casual. Granted he’s an exceptionally good video game player re: reflexes.
Bottom line is that GGG has softened that some. There are deterministic crafting methods. League mechanics clearly drop abundant currency and high value items now.
One thing blizzard could take away is having a non-generic endgame boss. Sure - bounties hit bosses, but I remember rift bosses being dumbly generic. POE has done this well.

There's a guy in World of Tanks with 160,000 matches, which works out to playing the game 10 hours a day since the game came out. Some people are born to game, I guess!

There is a lot of people that are disabled and cant work and shit, so they play games. We used to have one here that did that. 10 hours a day is not even that long if you think about it. I can pull a good 15-16 hours on the weekend ez. Of course not every day but I could see myself playing like that if I didnt have to work and no responsibilities.
