Is Bad Wolf a reboot mystery or have they used that since the original? I also thought bad wolf was either daleks (skaro) or the return of galifrey?

Bad Wolf was Rose. They revealed this at the end of the first season of the rebooted series, but Bad Wolf came back during the Donna Noble season as well.

That was so The Doctor knew who what was going on, Bad Wolf means Rose found a way to escape the parallel universe and that was bad

They never explained how Rose regained her memories. She definitely did not remember being Bad Wolf, then all the sudden late in S2 she tells the Daleks she destroyed their Emperor by pouring the Time Vortex into his head. I can see why it's confusing. My 2 cents: During her moment as Bad Wolf she was omnipresent, that's why Jack got all fucked up. She didn't res him just in that moment, but in all moments of Time and Space because she's Human and had a very limited understand of the power she held. Also in that moment she changed the Future by sending the Doctor a warning (Bad Wolf everywhere) about Davros return while her Human counterpart met Donna in the Donna Universe. It's a total Deus ex Machina, but a fun one.

Well we know Rose is back in
the anniversary special. The question is she past Rose /w real Doctor or present Rose /w clone Doctor. If it's the later, that may lend power to the Bad Wolf theory.

i guess i always assumed bad wolf meant daleks because it always seemed like Daleks were popping up when the name was mentioned. i guess i should have realized rose was popping back in too.

That's what Ive been wondering too. If she's dressed like a chav I'll assume it's pre-Bad Wolf

Honestly based on the fact they're in it at all I really have been assuming this is during Season 2; ala the 25th Anniversary when each of the Doctor's were taken from a specific episode.

semi DW related. Just figured out that Noel Clarke (Mickey) and Freema (Martha) are together/married. Puts a whole real world spin on End of Time Part II

Regarding Ace, she was one of Fenrick's Wolves. Fenrick was the uber space vampire being that the 7th Doctor had as his main recurring villain. That story line was never fully realized due to the cancellation of the classic series. In ancient Time Lord lore, the space vampires were their major adversaries in the First Time War, if memory serves. Before Fenrick, the last time they were seen in the series was during the NSpace series during the fourth Doctor's run and the episode with the giant space god suggested at one point that it was in fact a sleeping space vampire, but that is a bit of a reach perhaps.

If the whole Clara thing is Time Lord related, there are plenty of old options for that, but I kind of doubt they will be used. Romana and the Rani are both female time lords from the classic series who were likely not on Gallifrey (Romana being trapped in NSpace and the Rani being a renegade), plus there was the genetically crafted one from the Doctor's Daughter episode during the Tennant run. The Doctor's Wife more or less established that there could be Time Lords that are hiding outside the main universe, as well, if Moffat just wanted to pull a made up one out of his ass for the Clara plot. I hope its something that can be tied into the Time Lord lore, at least. Its too bad that End of Time basically shut the door on Gallifrey ever returning, because it would be nice if the show reverted to more low key stories instead of him having to personally save the universe on a regular basis and it would allow for the Daleks to return in a more reasonable capacity as a sort of stalemate opponent to them. Oh well, it looks like we are going to get the "Doctor is the Other" storyline officially made into cannon, which is where they were headed with the 7th Doctor.

i really enjoy phaezel or jait's inputs on this show, because if left unexplained id say this season is terrible mess. though i really enjoy the lizard chick and potatohead episodes. they really need to work on her makeup though. jesus chriust, her mask doesnt fit right and so you can see her white skin around the eyeholes. is she allergic to the batman eye blacking?

It's possible, or perhaps it's a heavy irritant. Heavy makeup is a pretty grueling process and more often than not (hours to setup, then you have to work for hours in it).

The girl who played Zaan(sp) on Farscape quit over the makeup. Madame Vastra is pretty badass, and the actress who plays her is a FINE looking woman too. Something about brunettes with blue eyes always does it for me. Must be too much Bioshock Infinite.

Damn but I do love me some Neil Gaiman. He gave Matt Smith a lot to work with and boy did he.

So much awesome stuff in that episode wasted with an incoherent and zany story... they made Cybermen awesome and did nothing with it. Why did they all have to be destroyed at the end with the usual lame "but one escaped!" instead of having a cool war they could do more stories in?

I wouldn't say they were all destroyed. Unless the main one pulling processing power from cybermen in all those other galaxies killed them all across space.

Btw, the trailer for the next episode, Clara says "I was born to save The Doctor". Combined with the She said, He said prequel where The Doctor comments that Clara seems a little too perfect for his needs would suggest that whoever created the Clara situation did so with the express knowledge of creating a companion that would essentially create an irresistible lure for him (think about her main attributes: No family connections, loves kids, loves to travel...that's pretty much a bulls-eye match for The Doctor), while at the same time understand that The Doctor would need to be saved at certain moments in time.

Still thinking Bad Wolf...Rose, when she was in godmode, saw certain points in time where The Doctor's life could potentially be lost, so she created Clara across different times for the express purpose of saving him. Whatever it may be, it would need to be an extremely powerful entity to pull off that trick.

Some American fans received s7 p2 early including next weeks ep. Going to ask that we not post any of it here please. I'm avoiding spoiler sites like the plague. Unless you want to post the whole ep :p
