Well, it would be if there were ridiculous consequences for people saying stuff I didn't like. So far, the only "safe space" I've seen is the GamerGate Thread (for anti-SJWs). Piss them off and away you go! Didn't break a rule? Doesn't matter! Have any objections? Fuck your objections! No safeguards to prevent the abuse of power for shitty reasons? Too bad, we like it that way!

As usual, the only person to have actually addressed anything I have said is Quaid. This is why he's one of the best posters on this board. His points are often terrible, but he actually does try to counter the things people have actually said instead of straw manning or resorting to petty sarcastic insults. Good on you, Quaid.

Again, internal bias means if you find yourself on either side (SJW or anti-SJW), you are already convinced you are in the right. You have plenty of examples of the "other side" spouting ignorant garbage (even if that comes from a vocal minority who we'd be better off ignoring completely). You can use the ignorance and anger displayed by the "other side" to justify your own ignorance and anger (see: Big P's post). And obviously, OBVIOUSLY, there's no need to consider whether the "other side" has made any reasonable points. You certainly shouldn't consider whether your own side has picked a few of the wrong battles to focus on. After all, doing so would be a sign of weakness, right? The other side will jump right on that shit and claim victory, so you have no choice but to NEVER GIVE AN INCH. Of course, now we're left with 2 "sides" trying to out-stupid each other and feeling entirely justified in doing so.

Are there individuals who will buy protein shakes just to stick it to SJWs in light of what happened? Sure. However, it's a stretch to claim that was the plan all from the start. Maybe people who work hard every day on their bodies are sick of hearing about 'thin privilege' and 'fat shaming'. Maybe this wasn't about showing support for an 'attack' on SJWs, but rather for defending and recognizing the work and sacrifice these people put in to maintaining a body that brings them personal pride and actuation.

Maybe. But when the "We can't take you seriously because you're a feminist" Tweet was made, it's hard to interpret that as anything other than poking a bear. I actually give them tremendous credit for creating an inevitable SJW backlash that in turn led to much more support for them. If you know your opponent's attempts to combat you will only make you stronger, why the hell wouldn't you take advantage of that? Don't think for a second I'm implying Protein World is doing something wrong here. I just find it ironic that when Sarkeesian was doing the exact same thing (allowing her opponents' actions to give her more power), those who were inadvertently and unintentionally helping her absolutely steadfast REFUSED to acknowledge that at all, yet those same people are gleefully pointing and laughing at the SJWs who are now in the same position.

I mean, it's not hard to imagine why. It's not easy to admit that you've been helping your opponent by publicly rallying against them. It's understandably humbling, so it's obviously preferable to just double down, insist that what you're saying is not only justified but necessary, and keep fighting for the sake of fighting. It's not productive, it doesn't help, but damned if we're going to see an end to it any time soon on either "side".

Get some perspective, people.

Yea the tweet about feminists not being taken seriously was a bit much. Looked to me like the person behind the Twitter account was just lashing out because they felt attacked, and went a bit overboard. Something all of us on rerolled are familiar with.

While I agree with most of what you say with regards to Sarkeesian, there is one fundamental difference between her and Protein World. One of them is selling a useful product based on solid research that fills a consumer need. The other is selling snake oil.

I am not sure this distinction exists. Looking at Protein World, looks like the difference is that Protein world is almost literally selling snake oil and Anita is just figuratively selling snake oil.
