Sure, the generally classic liberally ordered society agrees. Are we still operating in that realm, though?

The point I think perhaps you're missing is how the queer movement is different. It's not something that just happens to exist. It's a deliberate movement with intentional practices. And their doctrine is to NOT allow anything to just happen to exist. It's self stated to not be about identity, including sexuality. It can be anything and everything as long as the person chooses to be marginalized for the purpose of subverting the normal order of things. And they're the ones in their own doctrine who make marginalization a person choice, which they accept again only if you're willing to do queerness.

Their doctrine is to intentionally and deliberately upset the normal order. The only time queerness in a product is there by accident is through ignorance of the purpose, but that won't stop those who are queer activists from capitalizing on its presences, especially because that's a stated tactic of queer activists.

The ironic thing is the average, tolerant people just wanting to raise a family or make a good game or simply exist free from sociopolitical machinations are the ones in the end that get devoured.

The queer movement isn't a threat to a shitlord like me researches what it actually is and rejects it and calls it out.

The queer movement is a threat to you, the tolerant and open minded person who just wants to make a good game and believes in inclusion and acceptance and all those things they were easy to get on board with when it was just gays wanting to marry like other boring people.

It's a threat to people who perhaps haven't yet realized that's no longer where we're at as a society and that there are malign forces taking advantage of all the classic liberal openers and goodwill and are subverting and undermining the things you care about personally for their greater mission of undermining and subverting society as a whole.

If you want to just be left alone and free to make good games, then understanding the queer movement should be one of your top professional concerns and goals. Because you're a primary target and will be a victim if you're ignorant of what is occuring.

No, games are not an art form. Some games are fabulous pieces of art, just like some movies, but the vast majority of games are commercial, entertainment ventures made to produce revenue. The vast majority of "artistic" games are vomitous garbage that are neither good games nor good art but rather indulgent trash that appeals to no real audience.

I'm sick and tired of all the idiots acting like video games are the modern form of art class where the faggots and degenerates congregate because they won't be bothered by normies. I want gamers to kick them the fuck out and return to our racist, sexist COD-lobby roots.

This is exactly why BG3 was the best game since ER. There's some faggot shit in that game apparently, but I saw literally zero of it. Because as soon as a character muttered some gay shit or flirted with my character, I hammer smashed their face.

Letting players decide how much gay shit they want to see/experience is the way.

That's what I told friends before they bought the game. It's there, but fully optional and you can shut it down.

I firmly believe that DEI is part of why gaming development budgets have ballooned and quality has cratered.

Here's why - When you're forced to hire ~20%-30% (or more) nogs, women, and they/thems despite not having the appropriate credentials you have to hire people that can actually do the job well while the former do nothing (or actually impede progress).

P.S. I know there are competent black people, women, and other 'minorities' that can perform - stfu. Point is - when you're forced to fill out a large roster from a tiny pool of potentials, you're going to end up with a lot of retards.

When a discussion derails, it usually peters out after a page or two. 3, at most.

Regardless, it's not like the discussion was totally in left field. It's at least somewhat relevant to talk about why this game (and others) is going to suck.

I don't really care either way. I just never understood mods wasting their time with "Hey guys, talk about the thing" when normal, functioning people just scroll by the irrelevant posts.
