I don't give a damn if you don't like the way I'm doing things in regard to this policy. You don't have any idea of the personal risk I take by having this site AT ALL. You can take your indignation and shove it.
You'll take the discussion there, or you won't have it. So pretty please, with sugar on top, talk about the game minus the politics in this thread.
Wait, so you're taking personal risk by having the site at all and for that reason don't want "political" discussion in "public" threads but changed the title of the thread to Izo gendermances Queersexuals..... Because that's totally cool, but actually discussing the topic as related to the game is a bridge too far.
It doesn't make sense.
What's the concern again? The general public will be aghast we're discussing the "politics" in a game thread where the lead dev injects political agendas into the context of the game, but they'll have no issues with the title of the thread or the fact such discussions have already happened, but then we're whined about by a mod?
It doesn't make sense, but feel free to clear it up. Either you want the public facing forums sanitized or you don't? I can respect consistency in that either way, but the inconsistent, whim-based reasoning is confusing.
Also clear up a mod telling people to stop discussing a topic seemingly because he just doesn't want to deal with future erroneous reports. Which is what they are, because time and again bitches bitch about people discussing "politics" and in the end the ruling is the "political" discussions were on topic enough, even if annoying, and the reporters are revealed as giant whiny pussies.
This is either very serious business due to personal risk and tight, legitimate moderation is needed, or rules and norms are being made up in the spot out of personal annoyance. But something is amiss.
And even though I'm a dick at times, I try to stay on topic and not just spam or troll like some people who just repeat their same lol mantras in every thread. I like actual discussion. But when the discussion seems relevant, even if annoying to those they don't want to see them, and rules are being invented out of thin air to stifle the discussion just cuz annoyed then that seems like bullshit.
Just make the entire site private through registration like many others (I thought it was by now, so was surprised there are threads fully viewable by the public, I guess, because what's the upside of that). Or just make a rule banning certain topics in the threads or have a safe place section of the forums for people living in denial.
The school marm guilt trips and soft threats and rules on a whim are stupid, though, and confusing. Especially when the response is just personal shit about how hard you've got it or whatever.
Policy? If there's an existing policy I'm missing please point me to it, but then shouldn't there then be a lot of people getting moderated out of a lot of threads instead of just bitched at by mods not wanting to hear reports.
Now we're in the corner of there not actually being a policy and that's just bullshit, or there has been a policy and it's just selectively enforced. Either way, wtf, just let people discuss shit.
