Based on what's coming out with Concord, the same "safe space" group has merely hunkered down down behind criticism-free development environments that is now being called "toxic positivity." The result is that they're unwilling to accept any criticism like the mental children they are, and that obviously clashes with genuine artistic pursuit, so they will only continue to destroy anything they touch while crying the victim when they inevitably fail.
People should be publicly shamed for supporting this dreck because they're contributing to the speedrun towards Rainbow Idiocracy.

Comic book industry was hurting bad in 2005 - most of those changes could probably be attributed to desperate attempts to try to attract new marketshare since the core market was drying up. You're still years away from the first Ironman movie and the eventual comic book movie resurgence that rode the coattails of that

Cyb you are conflating political correctness with family values/moral majority shit from that era. The former was tied to it only because both were attempting to censor shit to fit an agenda. In the case of PC Culture shit, that was the brainchild of Tipper Gore and the first wave of wokeness to hit mainstream. It was Dems trying to get music and other shit they did not like (very heavy emphasis on the language control) banned or changed. The Holy Rollers were more about cultural values conforming to their religion and pushing those values on society at large. Both are bad, but really hindsight being what it is making people not act like baby murdering degenerates was probably not such a bad idea. Its just that the Holy Rollers were such kooks and kept getting caught in scandals to the point where they got laughed out of the discussion. The PC Culture never went away and the left kept tossing logs on the fire with more and more race riots (Rodney King ring any bells? OJ Simpson Trial?) that persist and grow into the present.
