Wait what the fuck you can duel weild and hit with both weapons with L1?

This is double damage, got Moonveil and Meteor Iron Katanas at +10 with my Mimic too.

Also found out in Mountaintops of the Giants that you can block ballistas with a sheild. Would have made Stormsheild Castle much easier!

I'm literally learning new things in the endgame.

I really like that with an Int build I can swap between staff for ranged spells, second katana to clear trash and sheild to block stuff - all depending on what I need.

I'm jealous, hit level 102 in mountaintop of the Giants and haven't had time to play anymore. I apparently missed Mt Gelmir and Volcano completely and now I'm thinking if I go there I'll be overleveled for the trash mobs at least.

Hoping to hop back on tonight, game is still game of the decade to me, can't wait for DLC and whatever their next Souls-Like title is.

So I’m lvl 13 now and killed some bosses ; patches? Or something, or atleast got him to hallway and he pussied out, wasn’t sure if I was supposed to kill him but he made it sound like he was going to be a merchant or something so I didn’t. I also killed grave warden duelist, that guy took a few tries.


So I’ve just been cheesing fights with running jump attacks which seem to constantly stagger everything I fight, not sure how long I can keep getting away with this? Worked great also on that bloody fingers guy (for a while I thought that was a player, I then tried to disable online or something thinking some jackass invaded me).
he dropped some named sounding dagger that causes bleeds, is that worth using? Right now just using some shitty sword, still praying to find a bow and arrows somewhere. I’ve been pushing into dex
which has been great for panic rolling which i love to do, but for this dagger looks like I need arcane.

at the rate I’m progressing I should be done somewhere between pantheon/star citizen release

You snowball. Spend ages in the first areas then later on you'll have the tools to tackle anything and move through at a better pace.

Very true, starting as Wretch made the initial leveling faster, but at the same time not having any equipment slows you down a lot more than you'd think.

Once you geta decent weapon and armor set you like it tends to go a lot faster, especially once you tackle a few mini-bosses for the nice rune intake.

Just try and add vigor / endurance in addition to whatever you're speccing towards so you dont gimp yourself with too low hps / stamina. It definitely gets easier.

I’m pretty sure the first merchant sells a bow and arrows? Been a while but you can get them fairly early.

Yes you can power stance at 2 weapons of same type. L1 swings both.

Number of players only effects boss HP and is a percentage increase vs number of players.

All right boys, going to start a new character. Trying to come up with "rules" to follow. Figure I'll start with:
  • No summons
  • No content skipping to get powerful stuff
  • No rune farming
  • Melee build (more of a style choice than a rule but whatever)
  • No talismans

Also going to check out the mod scene. A cursory look at nexus produced a few interesting mods, going to take a look at them.

I'll probably get bored before Godrick.

I'm basically doing that right now with STR/FAI and using big unga-bunga weapons of various kinds.

It's mostly fine? There's a few bossfights that are pretty ridiculous and very, very obviously designed with ash summons in mind. You learn some interesting stuff though kind of out of necessity, like the crystal throwing knives will drive tomb imps and the big cat statues insane and they will all start attacking each other lol, only way I made it through some of those duo fights with them early.

Yeah I'm thinking about also adding no talismans, but I think that's too handicapping for me.

Maidenless run, I think that the stuff Melina gives you trivialises the game, so no use of anything in the menu when you rest at a grace.

Yeah, I just feel like the game wasn't intended to be played with that stuff, makes it too easy.

The game even beings up the whole "maidenless" thing to guide you into playing it right.
