They never keep it real. Curt would troll fohguild by posting on his thread anytime it was about to drop off the front page. I actually agreed with Ut with regards to Curt. As for Brad we live in an age without shame (e.g. Spitzer (many prostitutes while married) has the balls to talk down Weiner (just sexting while married)). So Brad shouldn't have a problem coming back here and dealing with the odd Oxycotin joke - just buckle up your rubicite Aradune.
Banning Ut on fohguild for calling Curt out on his BS just made fohguild worse - I didn't like reading people giving cyber blowjobs to devs (especially Curt) on fohguild and would prefer not to see it here.

So, what exactly is gained by them being here then? You guys are pining for the days of "dev discussion", when it adds nothing of value. It certainly isn't anything I can't read anywhere else. Just post a link of their most recent interview with massively or whatever. Why should I have to slog through post after post of PR bullshit, followed by the 5-10 nut-clingers, salivating at their every word?

Because it takes 5 minutes and then people with brains work out for themselves how it really works behind the marketing speak. All your immature and anti social behavior has done is scare the devs away and now there is absolutely no info at all.

I'd love to have Brad back. The personal shit needs to end IMO. Nothing to be gained by it. All I'm saying is if devs post here we need honest discussions with them. They serve no purpose of they are just bullshitting us. This is our house and we need standards?! Lol I laughed even writing that.
Blizzard will wait a couple years till things get stale (hopefully not) and take everything from EQN + some new ideas that is going to "change the genre" again i'm sure.

Back in the day there was always dev speak on foh and good convo about some crazy shit that kept me coming back. This boards different but hopefully it gets back to where it was, we just need a rerolled guild that rapes.

Didn't Ut get banned because he started laying into Curt's kids, or some shit like that? Calling devs on their bullshit is fine, and they should expect to deal with that if they ever post here, but there really should be an upper limit on how far attacks will go.

I didn't mind Cam. Played some eq with him. I always thought qwerty and cam were the same and agree with quaid that watching people troll qwerty got old fast.
Anyway I'd prefer no devs if having them means censorship.
With respect to junkiesnation getting beta keys who the fuck knows? if draegen wants me to ask a cm at fanfaire I will but he's probably better off emailing directly. I suspect soe will hand out keys like candy to eqn sites soon enough.

I think using Brad and Curt as the only examples is fairly misguided. It's two examples on the extreme end of the spectrum of BS, PR, and RL drama. On the other end of the spectum we had Hartsman. He came here, posted fairly openly, knew his shit, made EQ2 a signficantly better game (EoF / Kunark), and was generally well received by the board. We need to back off on shit talking the drama and foster a community for communication with the Hartsmans of the Dev world. Sure we aren't going to change the MMO world, but it's nice to keep a channel open for getting some of the better ideas across. Shitting all over every Dev topic does nothing at all for the community as a whole.
