put casual in context of the playtime required to experience all content in current MMOs. what's that 1-2 hrs a day? When I think of "casual player," I think of someone who doesn't play a lot and I really don't think most of the gaming community fits that description.
I also wonder just how much that might be true for the kerran. It's the face that people have been ripping on, and that's the one part of the character we're guaranteed to be able to alter in character creation. Could be that everyone's complaints can be answered by just moving a few sliders around. The slight edit of the girl's face is pointless. Every character creator has sliders for features. Just make your face skinnier / longer, problem solved. Same thing that glumner wasted his time doing in Photoshop.
Dave Georgeson said they scaled some of the shoulders back, but not all, as you'd be able to "control all aspects of your character's appearance."I also wonder just how much that might be true for the kerran. That said, they do still need to scale pauldrons down, but that's my only real complaint with the art right now.
solely based on the Kerran, I have concerns with their armor/loot appearance in general. That said, they do still need to scale pauldrons down, but that's my only real complaint with the art right now.
Minecraft.. most popular game ever right now, looks like SHITMigelito from Ihatemmorpgs.com said it best "Graphics don't matter, unless they're terrible."
lol WHY Kerrans are Kerrans, they look like Kerrans. Though I'd be much happier in a Tiger skin than that lion. You can also pretty much be sure that Kerrans will have multiple cat skins available, tiger/lion/leopard etc.
There's not much to know about the game, but how do you still not know something like this? As it stands they said you can completely customize your character's appearance and armor. That Kerran is wearing 100% blue, plate armor. Does ALL plate armor look like that on Kerran? Is it a set? etc etc
That's not true based on the dev panel. They even polled about it on the roundtable. There's not much to know about the game, but how do you still not know something like this? As it stands they said you can completely customize your character's appearance and armor.
Do you know anything about Kerrans? They are not lion-like in either EQ 1 or EQ 2. They're much closer to tigers or leopards and you can bet money they'll have alternate appearances in EQN.lol WHY Kerrans are Kerrans, they look like Kerrans. Polling the community does not change official stance, and right now that stance is, "you can customize everything."That's not true based on the dev panel. They even polled about it.
yea, they look like 1 single thing, and that's Kerran.Do you know anything about Kerrans? They are not lion-like in either EQ 1 or EQ 2. They're much closer to tigers or leopards and you can bet money they'll have alternate appearances in EQN.
this is completely false and you haven't cited anything.Polling the community does not change official stance, and right now that stance is, "you can customize everything."
One of the panels said something about appearance customization in it, something along the lines of, "if you want a plate bikini, you can do that; if you want to be a fully armored tank, you can do that too".That's not true based on the dev panel. They even polled about it.
when Luclin dropped there seemed to be an unhealthy crop of Vah Shir rogues being twinked. Then I stopped seeing them. Were the Vah Shir such a popular race in EQ that people were clamoring for a new cat race?
Well the Vah Shir are descendants of Kerrans, and Kerrans are playable in EQ2. It's not like they're a new race, they've been a part of EQ lore from the very beginning. Were the Vah Shir such a popular race in EQ that people were clamoring for a new cat race?
Troll & Ogre were animal enough for me, or at least out of the ordinary enough. Seems there always has to be a race you can cuddle with, though.Well the Vah Shir are descendants of Kerrans, and Kerrans are playable in EQ2. It's not like they're a new race, they've been a part of EQ lore from the very beginning.
Probably because they make a good contrast to the human, as opposed to dwarves or elves, which are more just humans with different proportions. Were the Vah Shir such a popular race in EQ that people were clamoring for a new cat race?
I'm really confused as to why they chose that to be at least one of the first two races rendered for the game, and why it served as essentially the mascot of EQN in the reveal.
