You're not supposed to say attack just go stand next to it. The task should update without it agroing. Even if you agro it killing all 4 of the task blade piles and waiting for the task to update to "kill" before you actually kill it should work.

Oh there's Shinyu auctioning wtb now. The same guy i called out months ago. He's not even bothering to use alternate names anymore. Not sure why they bother trying to hide it since there's no way they can ever be investigated. Probably the same reason they delete all the "official" forum posts. Gotta maintain that fake public image. It's all about the optics these days

why will petitions be ignored? and "official" forum posts deleted? The GMs know who Shinyu is because dozens of us have reported him. But why oh why would you ever investigate yourself

The baz has the huge advantage of making all krono purchasing anonymous. until then the buyer is forced to open air auction, making it obvious

These Tower missions aren't exactly the height of intricate design.

The Baz is going to raise krono prices regardless, but if you're right about Shinyu and all this, the krono price is going to hit 2 million by the 2024 election. Which is ludicrous.

Hot take the reason Krono cost so much plat is because this server is full of people thinking they were gonna get rich off playing EQ. The market is saturated with sellers and has almost no buyers.
That's why the PL spam in general/class chats is so bad. Tons of sellers, very few buyers.
That's why Items that sell for Krono are all basically half or less of what they were on Mischief. Lots of sellers, few buyers.

meanwhile on mischief prices are crashing down (from about 3 to 2.5m) due to what i expect is a lack of buyers

i reckon price would only rise uncontrollably if there’s a ton of sellers paired with buyers with unlimited plat

im starting to be a sachee believer

It does make you think. The perennial buyers in tunnel have been the same people entire time. From 250k(start of kunark iirc) to now 700k. The incoming raw plat is about the same if you think they are just a front for AE plers who are on most of the day killing mobs, yet they still seem to have endless amounts no matter the cost of kr. I dont know what a PL group makes in raw plat(and vendor) from a 18 hour day of Pls, but even if its something ridiculous like 2 million, that is only 2-3 kr a day, yet they sit there all day buying.

From a player perspective, having more plat andor gear per krono is generally always good for you. The people hurt are the people hoping to convert plat or items into krono; everyone else benefits. The kronolords tend to be loud and even persuasive, but, teek is a pretty good place IMO for the little guys. Farm basically any "rare" item like a hq lion skin and you can be totally geared out. A single krono purchase will pay for all your tradeskills and leave most of the plat leftover, or an entire set of ok gear. Plvling 1-60 is less than 10kr I think?

if I played for krono or was a source of income, I might be upset. Thankfully I just dont care. I will buy kr when I get enough plat and that's good enough. I am basically even for the server, and that's with probably spending about 10kr so far on things like a backbone or pieces of gear.

Bragging about something until it backfires, then crying seems to be their MO. I'm sure they're planning to do another class zerg for Luclin with Rangers and think that it'll work. They probably have a whole plan drawn up of showing up to OW AHRs with 72 Rangers to KS them (while we do all the tanking, healing, etc, you know, the actual execution), followed by posting stupid "blot out the sun" memes from 300. That won't work either.

Then you've got them falsely claiming we're undergeared when we've taken in significantly more loot-per-person and RI has people like Himlop waddling around talking smack to people while having classic planar gear in a bunch of slots.

Which isn't even getting into all the weird griefing shit RI does instead of just competing. They'll spend an hour doing weird-ass shit like dropping a Vindi on us during AOW prep and Natimbi-ing out, then come back and train some more mobs, then lose the actual AOW race. Is the goal to annoy us? I'm not sure if Vindi even accomplishes that much, it's more like a "right, anyway" moment.

Teek has been a real embarrassment for RI to say the least, mostly on a behavioral level but also on a "getting repeatedly dumpstered" level. If Faceless is a bad player zerg like you claim, then you've been going about 1 for 10 against a bad player zerg and I'm not sure what that says about you.

Stacking classes is MMO DPS racing 101. Personas just make it more straightforward to maintain a roster of certain classes like wizards. RI (or anyone) saying the other side did it first is silly. The hell else does someone have to do in a "competitive" PvE raid scene other than building a character to win at DPS races?

Nothing says "congraulations" like calling someone a zerg.

It's good for the rich IRL person who wants to buy the gear type "little guy," it's really bad for the wants to play one toon sell the items they don't want and use that to buy their own items type "little guy."

You can do them at 60 but I recommend doing them at level 1-10. They die faster, you just need HP buffs/DS.

Doing the Tower tasks/missions at any level besides 60 is a total waste.

A lot of us wasted 10+ AAs doing them on lowbie personas before we knew any better. At this point the knowledge is out there so there's very little excuse. Make a modicum of effort to do them as intended at 60, start Luclin with 18 free AAs. Persona down to level 2 mages and do no-challenge versions of the missions and save a few minutes of your time, start Luclin with zero free AAs.

IDK, people can make up their own minds, don't really care if they cheap themselves out of a big power boost at launch because they don't want to do slightly difficult group content for an hour.

You get rewards for the level you finish that task as. For keys you can do the whole thing on a geared 20 persona and just persona back to 60 before doing the combine.

You only need to do them at level 60 once (the AAs are tied to the achievement). From then on you can do them at low levels as much as you want. I usually solo them on a level 1 warrior, so that's good if you want to make even less effort.

Comical to hear people saying these missions are too much work in the same breath that they say 18 AAs is nothing, been hearing that all month. The missions take a combined ~1hr to 2hr with a subpar group, while 18 AAs will probably be a couple days of grinding for most people. Unless they're just paying for PLs, that'd be on brand.

Didn't know that, that's a neat trick. It should work for the tasks but not the missions. You can also put a level 1 character in your group for the tasks and it'll make the mobs level 30 (halfway between the two characters) and easily soloed. The tasks are very easy to gimp while still doing them at 60. Missions are a bit more work though. I think only #3 is particularly "hard" but you need to be prepared on that one.
