I isn't aint farmin tower 2h a day at 60.

Krono prices are definitely crazy on Teek, but I'm also in the category of "I don't care". You can just join a guild and get gear with dkp and play all the content you could ever possibly want without spending a single krono. You can repeat this process on every server you ever play with great success. You'll also just casually earn some krono if you are inclined to do so, regardless of how varying the prices are.

If there's some group of people out there scamming the system, good for them. Cheers.

It's good for the rich IRL person who wants to buy the gear type "little guy," it's really bad for the wants to play one toon sell the items they don't want and use that to buy their own items type "little guy."

Its good for the play one toon sell the items to buy stuff guy too. Everything being traded is elevated, so you can sell spider silks for like 50p or whatever. When luclin drops it'll be even easier to dump simple stuff in the bazaar, so some noob vah shir beastlord unloading their hides and shadows from a dozen casual levels will probably walk away with tens of thousands of plat. So anything in game based on plat is a joke to do, and gear is readily available and if its not bis or near bis, its typically throwaway priced. So yeah, never been better for the casual little guy.

18AAs = a couple of days during a 50% (100% w/pot) exp bonus lol

If you're prepping a big squad of rangerbois for open world racing than showing up minute one with 18AA is going to make a difference in open world.

More than that, if you DON'T have these aas your ranger is borderline useless. 9aas from keys gets you am2 OR eq right? But not both? I suppose you can go nuts and make a ton of 200 fletching skill arrows and just cope until you get eq, but you're obviously behind either someone doing the same thing with another rank of archery mastery or someone with endless quiver and a single primo arrow.

Are leadership and the core members also making an effort to be less caustic? Getting along is a two-way street. If the thick skin bit is only in there because lol snowflakes than it's going to be challenging to get flesh blood given how many guilds there are on the server. It's not like they've ever been patient with new people.

Personas definitely seem to make this server look very unfun.

Curious Zaide , why has this iteration of Faceless gone so hardcore on the open world? From what I recall, on Mischief you guys never seemed interested in doing that (and no shade meant by that). Is it just different members with different motivations/abilities? Is it just fun to push Vicious's shit in?

All those characters flagged ALT are boxes. Setting aside the sub/perk cost personas are inferior to boxes in almost every way.

The Mischief guild was originally a big massive zerg we built pre launch (Faceless X In Virtue). That guild could afford to be super lazy about OW because there was no real competition. Then like half way through Kunark I left and formed "The Faceless" and a number of my friends followed me. That said, tons and tons of people had cold feet about leaving the established "top guild", and for good reason. When we look back at Velious on Mischief, Faceless could not even fill two splits on our ToV DZ night, we were SO much smaller. I specifically remember a time when we batphoned Tunare and we had legitimately 20 people, we got to her and were doing it OW before GiG arrived. When they showed up they just stood by and watched and eventually one of our Clerics went OOM and we wiped. We just lacked the ammo.

It's far harder to build a roster post launch, we always knew it would be next to impossible to compete with the FXIV / GiG numbers in those early OW eras.

Plus, there wasn't nearly as much bad blood. GiG was never big into talking shit (that I remember), and they were never big into griefing etc. They were a guild that tried to win and during their period (Velious-PoP) they did. They also cared a lot about server firsts and I was happy to focus on that.

On Teek we're dealing with a lot of trash, and even though I still personally don't care about OW shit, someone's gotta get this trash to the curb. On Teek every raid you can expect to get trained. You can expect mobs to be spam dispelled. I don't mean like 2-3 dispells, I mean hundreds of dispells on a mob every time there is a race. If you return the favor tears and petitions fly. It's just a lower caliber of person we're dealing with generally.
