Anyway yeah the new TLP is pretty shite. It might be interesting to see if someone tackles the challenge of defeating AHR at level 50 without Vaniki advantages like spell resists and gear reqs.
Tanks in Velious gear with no Defensive and a 10 level deficit... yeah it'll be rough but I think it's doable.
Will be hilarious if they put Tower gear on the server and it just ruins the whole idea. Then again, level 45 Tower gear isn't very good, 55 is when it gets the huge leap in power. 45 Tower gear will still be enough to totally throw off the balance at 50 though.

I might level a toon to 50 and enjoy the server launch, but 24 weeks at 50 in luclin sounds miserable. I think it said PoP after 36 weeks. It's plausible that the server is decent once it hits PoP. True box gets removed then as well. Just hard to say how much population is left by the time it gets there.

THJ is the bomb but less than a week after PoP launch I was already solo farming Time & Seru +4 daily with full BiS then logging. It is great for short bursts, gotta have other games to play.
waiting for the non DZ version of THJ, would be my perfect server...DZ every day that can be solo /duoed way too much loot going around

Wouldn't work on a server where everyone in BIS can potentially solo Quarm. Things like Seru or PoFire would be perpetually dead. Unless of course it was PVP. Then a few people could team up to "claim" a zone and stomp anyone who came in to contest their bosses. I'd totally join you to claim PoFire and block/snipe anyone who crossed the "red line" of C1. Enforce the no-fly zone.

Everyone would not be BIS without DZs every day, however. The reason people get BIS so quickly is because 100 of the same mob die every week instead of 1 or 2.
Non DZ THJ would be great, because the people who dont wont to get super sweaty and race mobs would still have plenty to do as almost every in era named camp would be worth it due to item tiers and item lvling, etc.

Pretty excited for SSF THJ honestly. And agreed after a week+ of farming time and whatnot I feel pretty bored. But I also got through classic and kunark one shotting the dragons with Luclin raid gear. Having to do it properly will slow the pace down a bit which could be fun.

I played Guild Self Found and it was definitely good for longevity, but you'll be surprised how fast you still get all your BIS gear outside of stuff like augs. Definitely more fun way to play than trading unless you're making like 9 characters.

Did a SSF No-Death Run Berserker on Teek. Was a fun fight for survival with some close calls. Unfortunately, the class is also excessively boring.
Around level 17 I tapped out on slogging through more fights and abandoned the SSF, but continued the No-Death run. Started grouping in Unrest, flew through 17-28 or so.
Left for TOFS at 28 and soloed there for a while, mostly Floor 2 since I can stun all the spellcasters there (after letting them waste a couple seconds casting) over and over to neuter their offense.
Unfortunately, I finally died at level 33 or so when I had to zone out of TOFS at low health, and what was lurking right outside? LODIZAL. One snap and I was a splat on the pavement. It was a good run.

Luclin also adds a bunch of abilities that really flesh out classes like summoned mage focus items, low level stuns for paladins, cleric heal over time at all level ranges etc.
The newbie armor quests came with Luclin but I'm not sure if they're active on TLP before PoP.

or a Cleric. Any guild that really wants to see what content they can actually clear at 50 is going to find themselves on a nightly basis trying to rez faster than the boss can kill everyone. That means a plentiful number of Clerics. Cleric with a Mage box would be S tier.
