Going to laugh if it turns out they rearranged the locations of everything. I don't remember if DC was graphically correct to the real world or not, but I know Skyrim wasn't.

Hope they don't do invisible walls this time. I wasted so much time finding alternative spots to snipe from and frequently running into a magical barrier right before I got where I was going. In NV too. If I can't go there, make the barrier visible so I don't waste my time.

Aye it had a lot of monuments, but was the layout of the city the same? Could you figure out where one building was based on a previous one?
Based on my small amount of research back when it came out I believe the big details were pretty accurate like neighborhoods and rough distance between them. I found an article that doesn't just stay ont he monuments. This says it's pretty spot on as well.

haha. I was going to say that FNV sorta kinda matched Vegas and surrounding areas (where I grew up!), but not to the fidelity the author of that article assumed when trying to map out FO4. Then I remembered that Bethesda didn't make FNV and wanted to make a confusing joke instead.

Rockstar does a great job too. The first time I drove by Pershing Square in GTA V, I said "Holy shit!" and crashed. Hopped out of the car and could see the window of my old condo in the Title guarantee building. Was a trip.

Getting the BC down and hill abbreviations for all the cities like Boulder City with the radio towers was great. I spent a sweet 3 days driving around hitting up ghost towns and bars on the outskirts. Loads of fun. It was not scaled by any means but a lot of that empty space some people perceive actually was IRL too. The salt flats with the Giant ants near Mojave Outpost and what's left of Nipton is geographically there. I pulled over my car and could see the giant hill of the long I15 where the desert and NCR Rangers were shaking hands. Mojave is vast and beautiful. Funny story I was not paying attention to my gas and was literally on fumes when I spotted the beautiful city of Primm. I basically coasted into Bison Steve's after turning right into the parking lot. Filled up at the gas station to the right of it and walked on in. Very cool place.

Maybe I'm a retard bt I'm a bit underwhelmed by the graphics. Maybe it's the compressed video bt The Witcher looks better to me

Isn't it the same engine with better meshes? Fallout 3 and NV were not powerhouses even when they were out. The lighting effects were good. The models were terrible.

I think it's the 5 fps animations they use that really brings out the dated engine look.

Looking forward to modding in unlimited weight, a better UI, and heal over time stims!

Game will be great, but it still looks like shit. Bethesda really need to stop retrofitting Gamebryo and get something new.

The animations are still wooden, the UI will need some patching, the writing will be questionable but fuck it, it's Fallout. Unless they pull some monetization fuckery, I'll buy it anyway.
