I'm excited about the new season. I'm definitely into it after episode one. Also, that has to be the best nude scene in the history of the FX network. On Sons of Anarchy the "nudity" warning always just meant we were going to see 2 inches of Charlie Hunnam's ass crack.

Truly. Getting sick of seeing man ass on a regular basis.

The only other time I've seen that actress is in 10 Cloverfield Lane. Didn't register as super hot until this.

It sortof is. Dude lying down with a figure (child with the figurine, robot on the book cover) standing over him. Personally, I wouldn't have immediately drawn the connection like she did but I'm not the most observant person in the world either (hey, she is a cop so...).

Pretty sure the book cover on the right is exactly the same as the figurine he carved, except with him and his grandson. They seem more like Lovecraft scifi novels than Hentai. Also remember Ennis was super old fashioned, talking about gays and the bible and shit, and his books were probably not allowed by his parents or wife or whoever the fuck made him so ashamed he had to hide them. When I was watching it the first time in lo def and couldn't see anything I 100% thought they were like kiddie porn novels. Much more happy they're not.

Heck if I know the etymology. I've never heard jewey (will probably start using it now though) but ewey (you-ee, i assume) is common enough here on the Best Coast.

It didn't look anything hentai, it was way more Cthulhu. He did UFO easter eggs all season 2. Old gods stuff wouldn't be out of character for season 3.

Nothing about the most recent episode? That didn't seem typical for this show. Has there been any other episode in this series that has focused on only one arc? And it didn't even seem related to anything else going on - or ever will seem related.

Our innocent boy writes about a robot searching for the meaning of life. Backwards tardcop finds a toy automatic off-switch. Facebook tardcop can't make real friends. Jews are nihilists. Whores can't remember the 70s. People are mean. The robots reward for being good and living longer than everyone else is "Congratulations, now turn your own switch off." Backwards tardcop keeps the automatic robot suicide box as a memento.

Give praise and nominations, fuck the plot.

I thought it was good. When the opening text said the events took place in los angeles, I knew it was going to be an episode focusing on that one arc, so maybe the difference between us is that I wasn't surprised at how it went.

You say it's not important and never will be. What do you base this on? Does this show have a history of wasting entire episodes on things that are never important again? I kind of hope it's a setup for next season. That looked like a good story to flesh out.
