I never played DQ8, and going back to PS2 or 3DS is pretty unappealing at this point. The phone version also has a very limited field of view and no landscape mode support.

It's my #1 most-wanted remastered game on modern systems. Played every other DQ that ever got released here. DQ8 only slipped through the cracks because 2007/8 was my big Everquest era. REMASTER DQ8 PLZ. I'll even take a port if I have to.

Switch version of DQ11 is more expensive, but worth it IMO. It has an entire second game included in the form of a 16-bit demake of the main game that looks like DQ6 on snes, and it's different enough to be well worth playing (for starters, it's harder, because random battles). They also added something like 30 mini-dungeons from the other ten games in the series, 3 from each. Some of them are just towns where you have to bring people items or whatnot, others are full-on dungeons from other games. All of this is Switch exclusive.

Awesome yeah you are going to love this game. I started it, got about 10 or so hours in and got side tracked with some multiplayer games but I think now for sure I am going to restart and enjoy all of it starting tonight.

yeah thats my problem too, while I liked Persona 5 enough to platinum the game there is no way I am going to replay the entire fucking 100 hour game to get 25% extra content, especially if 70%+ of the game is basically the same. I didn't love it THAT much, and a huge chunk of the game was crawling through some really boring ass dungeons.

I'll be playing FF7-R, my biggest concern was if the game is too short or if the game is total trash. It doesn't really sound like either one is true, while it may not be GOTY or anything it seems decent enough. Thats assuming I get the game on time from best buy (ship), I have no idea. Its also tempting just to turn around and resell it, the deluxe edition cost me like $55 ($65 minus $10 reward cert) and its currently selling for $120-150 on eBay.

After playing about 60 hours I’m through 4th palace and the flow is definitely improved. They opened up the nights a ton and added quite a bit of new cutscene material and a few new characters. New semester and new palace at end and most palaces got overhauled to flow better. Honestly I played the base game and it’s like a new game for me and I’d forgotten so much. Just a really good jrpg

Personally, I shop on Amazon AND can't wait to play FF7. But then i'm not on here page after page after page telling people how to spend their money.

You had two replies. My interpretation was you grand standing over amazon exploiting foreign labor or political subversion (based on POV), which given your response to Hateyou Hateyou is accurate. And what was my agenda again? Wanting to see a graphics update on a 23 year old game? Holy shit that's a pretty big deal. Must be why the resident evil 2 re-release was a heaping pile of shit and a massive commercial failure.

Yeah that's all fair and I agree. If you go further back I say how disappointed I was with the demo's graphics. Doesn't really have anything to do with me pointing out the hypocrisy though.

One note on the PS4 version and default PC version. For some reason they use the midi soundtrack while the switch got the orchestrated one. There is a mod that changes the PC to orchestrated if you want to avoid the Nintendo tax.

Yeah I forgot about that sorry :( The visuals on the Switch are very sub par (720p docked) while it has a lot of extra features and the full Orch Soundtrack. PS4 Pro runs 1728p checker on Pro up to 2160 but with Midi soundtrack. PC runs 4k native and full Orch with Mod.

Still have no idea why no one wanted to pay Koichi Sugiyama the license fee to leverage his tracks on the PS4 version of the game, or why he would just say, "Nope" on PS4.

The midi does bring in a certain charm however.

Uhm one is a mega corporation that employees a shitload of people and provides a service that I find very useful and they do a good job at it.

The other is a smaller corporation that created a game I do not want to play, with episodic approach which I do not like, with some shitty textures.

I haven’t told anyone how to spend their money, I’m just saying I won’t be spending mine on this game. Not because SE is some big evil company, but because the game is not something I’m interested in. I had this thing pre-ordered and canceled it because it sucked for me, not because of some morals. If someone here played the demo and enjoyed it, fucking buy it and have fun, I’m just not in that crowd.

Comparing this game to Amazons service is pants on head retarded and you should be ashamed that you are stupid.
