3 separate games at 60 a pop, DLC missions for each 12 a pop, alternate costumes and weapon packs 2-5 bucks each. Calling it now.
I think they'll find this to be the common opinion after that announcementLOL. any interest in playing this disappeared. maybe if it ends up on Steam ill pick it up on the cheap later but i can't be bothered with this shit.
lay off the crack pipeReally just need to wait and see. Maybe FF7 (the whole game) will be just "episode 1" and they plan on doing a FF7-2 that maybe follows Cloud & Co. after the whole jenova/seph showdown. If they really do break the game down into parts (say Disk 1, one year later, Disk 2, one year later Disk 3) it's going to be god awful and waaaaay too much downtime. Unless the episodes get released only like a month later, but still, who wants to get into all the meat and potatoes only to have a huge downtime and then get right back into it.
It's going to be cool if they expand on Midgar, expand on some of the stories, battles, cities, etc but if they split it up so I only get Midgar > Kalm (Episode 1 over!) and have to wait another year before going Kalm > Temple of Ancients (Episode 2!) to another year for the Highwind (Episode 3!) to another year for the Crater (Episode 4!) to another year for Ultima/Ruby/Emerald Weapons (Episode 5!) I will be so disappointed.
I can already see all the "Fight Omega Weapon DLC!" or "Fight Mega Cactur DLC!" just because...ugh!
Fingers crossed, the entire FF7 game is "Episode 1" and they just plan on milking out the world & the characters over many other Episodes. FF7-2 TYE Girl Power (Tifa, Yuffie, Elena), maybe Tifa starts a female band or something and they use dress spheres followed by FF7-3, Cloud Returns, where he warps through time and space to stop Jenova before it all began!
Hmmmmm, I like it!
You are dreaming. I applaud your hope, I wish I had some left for gaming companies.Really just need to wait and see. My main run was 134 hours before save game corruption and I did everything but the Weapons (corrupted in the middle of farming materia combos). Second run for strictly killing weapons was ~70 hours. Cutting that up into three games sounds a lot like breaking the Hobbit into 3 movies(a lot of bloat and not really any decent polish to show for it)....IIRC my full gold chocobo KOTR playthrough was 110 hours. That was when I was a lot younger and not good at RPGs or gaming in general. The original game is not enough content for an episodic release by today's standards. Unless the 'world map' is a fully fleshed out open world of course. But that's wishfull thinking.
110hours is like twice most games today, and that's the long ones.IIRC my full gold chocobo KOTR playthrough was 110 hours. I seem to remember having to do a shit ton of racing for it. No?I know you're trying to hyperbole your point, but if it took you longer then 4 hours to raise some chocobos you're doing it wrong.
