Well, fuck me, I added an authenticator to my account now, and have changed the password to boot, just gotta wait for them to inevitably ban my account and try to get in contact with their horrible CS to get it back... fuck

No clue, there is no way to kick a player off your account if they are on it. edit: but I'm willing to be a million bucks... probably.
Yup it is ridiculous. The only thing that saved me was server instability.... incompetence saved me from a hacker, welcome to FF14!
Did you get hit with a ban for spamming gil sites ? I heard more than a few people on reddit complaining last week because of it. Unfortunately, doesn't look like the servers are coming down anytime soon (planned anyways)
edit: what kind of multinational company doesn't have support hours on saturday or sunday, that's just ridiculousness
Nope no ban it was like 6-8 hours and they made a char on a different server and didn't touch my main but he was only lvl 10.

I guess that must mean supply > demand... I mean they didn't even take my 175k... I guess that's a good thing, in WoW, where accounts were free, my character was stripped within 2 minutes of everything.

This is the second time. Once in wow before I got an authenticator, once in ffxiv now before I got an authenticator, my log in for my square enix account is unique to it (although admitedly it was a shared password that I've used in the past for game forums and such)

Good luck. After being hacked, I waited on the phone for three hours to be told I would receive an email in a day or so, then a confirmation email a week later telling me I had my account back. This should really be standard practice by now with all the WOW hacks that have been going on for years. Every game should be unique login and unique PW + key auth if available.

Yeah I use keypass. Good shit. The only problem is that you essentially have to keep it on a dongle with you if you use any other computers, or laptops or go to a buddies house, work... That is, of course, if you use it for everything, like I do. Email, paypal, bank...etc...
