Actually the Lannisters had one way back when, but the guy who was using it took it over the sea to explore the ruins of Valyria and never came back, iirc.
And agreed that the changes they made to Littlefinger kind of suck. Probably my biggest issue with the show so far, he's just not as cool as he was in the books, TV Littlefingers feels like an upjumped pimp, no way book Littlefingers would have dedicated so much time and effort to hanging around brothels, it's completely out of character.

Yeah exactly. It's like someone who owns a chain of hotels, training the room service guys. Why the hell would he do that? He'd pay someone to manage it for him. Especially someone like Littlefingers, who devotes so much of his time to his political intrique and his job at court, and while this may not be established exactly, guys who rise up from almost nothing (relatively speaking) in an environment like that are usually pretty sensitive about their status, he'd be effectively lowering himself in the eyes of all the big time nobles with old houses by acting as a brothel manager. You think a guy like Tywin would want to spend time with, trust or employ a man who spends his day teaching whores how to moan? Come on. I mean yeah, exposition, but surely they could have found a better way.

Absolutely. The only thing I don't like is how you can't play as certain houses unless you have enough players.
It's lame, but also a good excuse to show tits.
And about the Unsullied, their armor looks stupid but physically they look how I imagined. Even though they train hard they're eunuchs so they should be physically smaller and softer than average soldiers. They looked better in the very first episode.
Just finished S3E1, and it was definitely about 20 hours too short. It felt like "Yeah, I totally just getting back into this and... credits. FUCK YOU!!!!"

i dont understand why HBO spent all this money for cast, CGI and to shoot at all these expensive locations and only gives each scene just a few minutes, if i was a bigwig at the network id be screaming for someones ass why the show is only 50 minutes worth of content and only ten episodes. if peter jackson can squeeze 10 hours of movie out of a few months filming of the hobbit then they could rock out 90 minutes a week of content and at least 13 episodes a season.

Yeah only 10 episodes is a bit of a copout, they could easily do 13, it's gotta be one of their biggest shows, if not the biggest. Even The Wire got 13 a season.

Anyone else feel like the demon kill on the baretheon dude in season 2 was cheap as fuck? I love the series so far as a whole (never read the books) but it's still bothering me.
If the fire bitch can just summon ghosts to take out kings why the fuck is anyone else still alive, wondering if anyone can explain this in a way that makes me less annoyed lol

because even for the red witch whipping up a vagina monster isnt some trivial act. stannis had his brother killed because he was intensely jealous of him, probably appalled that a little faggot like Renly is so loved by the masses and meanwhile stannis is a massive prick who people only follow because he paid them. the kill was personal to stannis. he has lived his whole life in his brothers shadows. first Robert and then Renly. if Renly had been left untouched he likely would be riding the Iron throne at this moment. which the red witch probably informed him. so something had to be done. which is why the vagina monster came into play. he couldnt use the vagina monster to kill jeoffrey because then he would have to use it again for the younger son and daughter.
