Question for butt pelleters: at what levels did you start to look into things? Just got my numbers back, 40 year old male:
Free Testosterone: 10 pg/mL
Testosterone: 438 ng/dL
Per the lab reference levels, it's pretty middle of the road for my age. My energy is pretty shit, but I can make a ton of lifestyle changes - diet sucks, need more exercise, currently no supplements, blah blah blah. Current plan is to start making those changes and re-evaluate in 3 months. Any recommended supplements/blends? Edit: forgot to add, what sort of thresholds make sense to cut losses and what levels does TRT come into play?
My Test was somewhere around where yours is when I first started doing TRT. Theres plenty of people out there that say with proper diet and exercise you can increase those levels and thats true. But if you lack the energy to do so now.. are you really going to do that?.. kind of thing.
Pellets are some peoples thing, I dont care for them. I think the Shots are too "up and down" as far as how much supplemental test enters your system. Depending on your frequency, you may drop off a cliff the last few days of your "round" and feel just fucking awful. I enjoy the Androgel simply because of that fact and it takes all of 30 seconds to apply it after I take a shower every day and its a stable, predictable dose.
From what Ive read, at this point, with the habits Ive gained and the changes Ive made since being on TRT - I should have, naturally, a good 700-900. But Im a size 28 waist, 11.7% body fat, at 191 pounds. I feel like an absolute unit in the gym and Im afraid if I stop the TRT - that Ill lose that "feeling" and lord it feels great when I get that high.
Plenty of shit that says its not healthy for you and you shouldnt take it. But I compare it to like Ozempic or whatever. If you're a fat, unhealthy, unmotivated, slob with low confidence.. are you really going to live as long as you would if you were the opposite of those things taking Test? (Or in Ozempics case, if you're 350 pounds, the Ozempic is by far a healthier choice than having some kind of heart disease etc.)
Ive read about plenty of Testosterone boosters. Im sure some work to an extent. But every single one relies or rests heavily on you doing "your part" by exercising, eating right and I swear somewhere in the directions it says "fuck chicks in their late 20's for best results."
The thing that has mortified me a bit is the fact that Im curious how long I had low Testosterone. Im 38 now, and I started it when I was 36. Shitty diet, didnt exercise, etc. I have confidence Ive never had before. I have a body Ive never had before. Im fucking women that when I compare them to my older girlfriends... Im just at a loss for words to ever understand how I let women that fucking ugly, and yes I do consider them ugly now, fuck up my mentality as much as some of them did. Much less, how many decisions did I make from that low confidence, meek, shy, anxious state that have kept me from making bigger decisions in my life? ... Talk about a self awakening realization. TRT has changed my life for the better and if it makes me die by the time Im 55 or something, Ill die fucking happy.
