I'm up to 3,000 gold now. Expansion news sooner than later is ideal for me right now. But I've got this nagging suspicion that Blizzard thinks Brawls = Content and we won't see any new expansions for another 5 or 6 months. That would really suck.

Oil rogue feels so strong. Only rank 14, so no one expects the combo shenanigans. Who needs Auctioneer when you have Prep + Sprint. Oh, and Thaurrisan, so strong in combo decks. Just wish I had Van Cleef.

Arena gonna arena. Got my first 11 and 12 win run in one run today. I'm not sure I could have been convinced beforehand that this deck would have done so well. The curve is so weak in the 3+ department. I actually think the key is that I only faced 5 mages in the 13 games. That's not a joke. I expected more mages(and paladins). And those last two at wins 10 and 11, I think I only got flamestriked(flamestruck?) once.

Had this question for a while now, anyone know if the game is somewhat unoptimized?

I get lag/freeze whenever spells are used. Sometimes not, but around 99% of the time when using Unstable portal, the game freezes for a second or two.

At first I thought it might be due to it using the intel graphic chip, but it says it is using my 880gtx. Not a big deal, but wondering if it is a know problem with an easy fix.

I feel like I'm down to lulzdeck options. Sneed's or Cenarius seems like a decent choice.

Damn, I have to agree. Not much there to get and Sneed is definitely the only kinda competitive option there.

I have so many rares I still need that I will probably never get to that level.

In case you still think HS is no skill, try and duplicate: Ratsmah went 12-0 on Rogue 6 times in a row.

why does it show 12-2 and 12-1 if he went 12-0 and end score is 72-5?

Even if he donated 2 wins to someone when he was 11-0, the end score doesn't add up to 6x 12-0

Very impressive though regardless

I'm pretty sure he meant that he had a streak of 6 straight 12-win arena runs.

That's such a subjective way at looking at skill when there is metrics you can compare other competitive games on.

Skill in a game should be measured on the skill gap between a casual , and a professional. Hearthstone is by far the lowest skill gap of all the so called e sports out there. It is designed to be like that.
Blizzard knows that a lot of High Skill gap games do not make it past launch. If you turn off your main audience then your game becomes dead, and not even the pros play anymore.

Compared to other CCG's? I would leave that up to an expert on those to chime in on.

Although not a pro player, I was way better than the average magic player. Either won every FNM or took second place to the same other guy who was always first or second with me, did well at a couple PTQs, built the Team Flores deck unaided two State Champs in a row, etc.

The skill gap of Hearthstone doesn't even begin to compare to Magic. Mainly due to the way RNG can create ridiculous swing turns in Hearthstone (Knife Juggler, Unstable Portal, Ragnaros, etc), but also due to the ridiculous complexity of Magic itself. Most of the skill in Hearthstone involves setting things up so you can capitalize as much as possible when RNG goes your way, and are crippled as little as possible when it goes against you. Also, the lack of interactivity and the absurdly overpowered nature of the charge mechanic reduce the skill involved even further.

I could go on, but really there's almost no comparison between Hearthstone and any other CCG. Even Yugioh and Pokemon have a higher skill gap.
