I've been getting back into hots again, i really like how pretty much every character i've played has been revamped since the last time i played. Looking forward to more multiclass type heroes because Varian is pretty fucking cool lol

There were tons of changes in 2016 to the game as a whole.

It's rumored to be a Warcraft Assassin (Valeera) and all the other stuff this person posted here has come true -

The majority of characters ARE Warcraft heroes and ARE assassins which is making lots of people get all sour. But Warcraft is the most popular franchise and assassins are needed more than supports/healers just by comp so...

I just want a rogue that has temporary stealth which changes their abilities to cheap shot/ambush/sap while stealthed, then SS/eviscerate/kidney shot or something with a combo system trait :(

Vanessa is way cooler than valeera though, lets be real

Yeah I saw some people streaming her. Its amazing how they can replicate the fantasy of the heroes they add to the game.

Aww i was so close haha, still would have rather had vanessa vancleef as the character! She looks like a lot of fun, i like how she has the oldschool cold blood talent rogues got in vanilla haha

Hopefully they'll put a support in next, game's pretty hurting for a new one or two

The game is alot of fun these days. I strongly encourage anyone who tried it way back but got bored to give it another spin. Hopefully, 2017 will also be its huge esport breaktrough. The ladder makes no sense but the games are really more competitive across the board. Just dont expect to cruise to diamond if you have a messed up mmr tho. For exemple, i was rank 1 before seasons and i now seems well anchored in silver. The system really wants to keep you at a 50% win rate.

Getting a new support soon, Lucio. I thought they said who the next ow character would be, I don't remember who it was, but I don't remember it being Lucio. Glad it's a support though. His kit looks pretty tame though, the video showed him riding on walls...whatever the fuck that would do(also looks funky in hots engine), heals similar to bw, his boop knocked back a really short distance, like sgt hammer or shorter.

Chromie's such a fuckin boss. I had some fun when she first got out but benched her for a while. This time i got serious about learning the timings on traps and temporal loops for extreme nukage.

Its the first hero i truly feels can somewhat carry a game. When your shots line up smooth, you just decimate the ennemy team.

Next hero just announced, Probeaus. Yes, its just an sc probe. Ranged specialist that takes awhile to set up, will build pylons/cannons, so a ranged gazlowe basically.

Is this the best MOBA to get into for a free to play person these days? I played LoL for a few months a couple years ago but otherwise have very little MOBA experience. I am looking for a game where the learning curve is decent and a few weeks of practice will make me competitive at ranked. If this is the case, any good videos to start with?

Yes, this moba definitely has the lowest learning curve. The Master maybe be able to point you to more learning materials if he still posts here as he has written some and does coaching. Here is a guide about tanking he linked here before The Art of the Tank • r/heroesofthestorm , not sure how up to date it is, stuff about specific heroes might be slightly different, but I think he had a lot of general tank knowledge in there too. Watching tournaments on twitch is a great way to learn how to play the game as well. Grubby has a bunch of tutorial videos also, again, not sure how up to date those are now, the specific hero ones, but general knowledge ones would still be good.

Any suggestions on which support/healer is good to start with? Or am I better learning attacking classes at lower levels to help carry games? I remember low level LoL games were dominated by good carries.
