I love how binary peoples posts are.

It's either the worst dumpster fire ever made, or it's amazing and stfu if you dont love every part. Like can we have some nuance or is that too much to ask.

so far enjoying the series, bit of a slow burn but expected from GOT. Hasn't gotten to season 7/8 retardedness yet so I am happy.
Yeah I agree, so far it's just like the good older seasons of Game of Thrones before people started teleporting, but the characters don't seem as strong.

I'm certaintly not telling people to watch this like I did with the original, but there's nothing wrong with it at all and I won't tell people to stay away like with Rings of Power.

I think the time jumps are actually cool in the sense it shows change/growth, I wish they were a bit more explicit with how much time passed though.

I feel like they had to be like "Hey guys, this baby who was 2 is now 3 in this episode *winks into camera*" because of boomer brain retards who thought Varys teleported and sea ships were traveling at 500 knots because they can't understand the passage of time if not explicitly told/shown.

Overall show is decent. Definitely not what I hoped for yet, but definitely not a bad show.

All liberals think people before cell phones just sat around, ate animals and fucked in mass orgies.
In truth people sat around, ate meat and banged their wives, but liberals don't really believe in just one loyal partner but rather 1000men a weekend monkeypox breedins. This is because all liberals are demonic sinners without morale and should be stuck down with great vengeance and furrrrrrrious anger.

So it's probably true except the mass orgy bullshit we see in Rome/Spartacus/GoT/HotD and god knows what else Pedowood has pushed out on it.

Jesus Christ how do you function in real life. Who knew cell phones were the cause of this shit, like I am sure all those initial AIDS patients sure wish they knew. Actually fuck that I bet those people who rotten away from Syphilis over the past 500 years or so after banging the Natives knew.

What the fuck am I even doing responding to this inane crap. Go read up on shit like the Spartan Marriage Ritual, Caser Tiberous' Tiddlers and other alleged depravities, Mesopotamian sex cults, Orgia laws in Ancient Greece, more recent? British Sex Clubs in the Victorian era, retro porns first filmed in the 20's, The fucking Tropicana in Havana in the 50's (you know the decade you clearly wish you lived in).

HUMANY HAS ALWAYS BEEN HORNY

Was it an Ancient version of Eye's Wide Shut? Probably not no, but the aristoracy and other well off people (and wealth wasnt always the contributing factor to "well off") was not shy about banging multiple people, regardless of gender on both ends, sometimes at the same time but often they would have multiple partners. This is a fictional world by an author who wrote this shit in who the fuck cares.

if anyone was wondering if a chick from GoT was going to show up

For international audiences, Melisandre remains the actress’ most prominent role but, unfortunately, she has no plans to return to the world of Westeros just yet.

“I haven’t had a call, sorry to spoil it!” she said.

“But, for now, I’m not going to come back. Not that I know of, please.”

They're eyeing Elizabeth Olsen for a similar role.

When you repeatedly do absolutely nothing to suggest sufficient time has passed for long distance travel, it starts to get tiresome.

Speaking of time skips, do they really need to recast characters for a ten year jump? Would it really have been that hard to make Milly Allthecocks look like she's in her early to mid thirties with some creative wardrobe and makeup? It was already something of an uphill battle to generate interest in them and it's going to destroy continuity to have the two central actresses suddenly be recast when nobody else is.

What was pretty fucking good about it iyho?

I like the acting and the character of Daemon is interesting to me. I like that it isn't chasing after inventing a bunch of dumbshit side stories with extraneous characters that don't really factor into things, because that just so happened to be the original Game of Thrones formula. If you're bored by 'power dynamics as experienced by ostensibly the world's most powerful women' I can see why it'd be boring and shitty, sure, but they said they were going to make a show about the Targs and there it be, weird incest shit and power brokering through dragons and talking in dark rooms. I thought it was a good hour of TV.

The showrunner and GRRM already released statements defending the decision to recast them.

So you know it's not going to be popular-- they wanted to get ahead of it. It's going to be fucking retarded.

season 1-4, no there were no extraneous characters in GoT. what happened was is D&D blew through all the books and season 5 they started introducing shit that wasnt from the books like the fucking "Sand Snakes" and Jaime and Bronn's Dorne "rescue" mission. or Euron's retarded SIMP arc with Cercei. just thinking about that dumb shit brings back more and more retardation.

The Sand Snakes are in the books, it's just 100% different.

i guess her schedule is clear for a while.

They are also talking to Henry Cavill. Not sure if they need both to do the deal for Season 2.

But they started talking to both Cavill and Olsen about it at the same time. They are at the top of the list for Season 2 casting.

I wonder how many seasons they are going to make to finish the Dance with Dragons story. At least 2 so far, which means we probably will see the diseased king die by the end of this season.

I havent studied the previews so maybe someone already mapped it out.

According to showrunners Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal and HBO Max chief of content Casey Bloys, the current storyline is planned to run for three or four seasons. But they note that the show could jump forward or back in time to show other events from House Targaryen’s history, meaning that the series could run for much longer than planned.

that was just before sapocknik left. i think they really want to show the doom of valyria, but can't figure out to put it in hotd or another show.

I think the king prob dies in EP 5/6 right before/after the time jump? Kicking off everything. Or Episode 9 being the semi-climax of like most GOT, with ep 10 kind of setting up next seasons.

The show is def better than rings of power.
