I think the opposite actually, in an effort to "standardize" people you'll be increasingly monitored and manipulated at a basic level.
Reread this. Think about how it applies to the past in society, the present in society, and possible futures in society. Do you really feel like society becoming more accepting of diverse lifestyles is "standardizing" people? That to me sounds like "quit discriminating against me by asking me not to discriminate".

Correct, but one is perpetrated by the individual, which has greater freedom to do things under the constitution. The other is done by the government, which does not and should not have that freedom to discriminate at will.
I disagree. The very task of the government is to maintain a civil society. Sometimes it has to limit the "rights" of some people in order to protect others.

The unpopular people/opinions in this scenario are the religious nuts. Just because they're objectively wrong and hateful doesn't mean their right to have that opinion isn't legal.
You really can't fucking help yourself, can you. NO ONE IS SAYING THEY CAN'T HAVE WHATEVER OPINION THEY WANT. Stop insinuating we give a fuck about their opinions. They can believe whatever they want. We just aren't allowing them to discriminate by action.

You aren't stopping them from doing stuff, you are compelling them to do stuff against their will. This is not something the government should do.
When they action they are preventing is...compelling people to hide who they are, I think they should. When "personal freedom" is being corrupted to actually impair actual personal freedoms, they definitely should have the right to step in.

Its that simple.
I could go back and point this out in damn near all of your posts. Do you know the difference between "its" and "it's"? One is possessive, the other is a contraction, it's not that fucking hard. You're either dumb or lazy. Which is it?

When you posts novels like hodj does, some shit slips through even after editing.

Declining service isn't an action, it's a refusal to take action. The difference is huge and distinct. In essence, you support the government compelling a person to take action- perhaps even compelling to commit to speech they may not agree with. A cake maker could be COMPELLED to make a cake they disagree with, essentially compelled speech (art). How is this in any way just? I see it as a huge violation of their rights, where if they refused service, the person who was refused service had no rights violated. They can simply get their cake somewhere else.

Sign of privilege: a member of a minority which would be one of the first to be gassed and shoved into the ovens arguingfordiscrimination.

Gotta admit, I wouldn't cry too hard if we started burning the furries. My primary concern would be any poison gasses released from their costumes during the fires.

Never understood the furry hate except as a internet joke. Is furry hate even a real thing?

I thought they only did that to others wherein costumes. Did you have a traumatic experience with a furry in your days as a high school mascot days?

On a more serious note, yes, furry hate goes beyond the Internet. Someone actually tried gassing a furry convention last year.
Yeah... Furries are odd. There are not a lot of things someone can be that make me uncomfortable but a furry in a fur suit is one. Maybe the only one. Live and let live but I will peace the fuck out of there. I think furries are irritating as shit but it's really the fur suits that get me. Just creepy as shit. Only time I ever ran into a few one looked at me and titled it's head and I just noped right out. Can't explain it. Just creeped me the fuck out.

Some people think that gay people are unholy abominations against God and nature who need to go away and...stop existing.

Now imagine what they think about furries.

As an aside, I feel like people who defend gay rights by comparing it to blacks and the civil right movement automatically lose. It's like the gay civil rights version of godwinning, where the first person who tries to call someone a racist because of an issue on gay rights loses.

Who gives a shit, its one of the more annoying quirks of English language, and I don't really give a flying shit if I use its/it's properly.

Crying about extremely minor grammatical errors on the internet is the sign of a pedantic twit.

It's a sexual fetish that has a public display.

If I ever saw a dominatrix leading her boy-bitch around on a leash in wal-mart or whatever, which I have once, I would feel just about the same way as I feel about a furry in costume. "Wait. Seriously? lolololol."

Hey, whatever turns your socks down freakshow. If you get off on being ridiculous, go be ridiculous as hell. A pair of zircon encrusted tweezers, you say? Just don't expect people not to laugh. I mean, I sort of figure that's half the reason they're even doing it. For the lookitme lookitme.

I feel compelled to completely disagree with this.

Can I ask you something Tuco? Is sexual orientation a choice?

If so, then yes, this is a silly comparison and I agree with your statement.

But if not, then I would say comparing it to blacks in the 60's is just abouttheperfect example.

This entire law only makes sense if being gay is a choice. If it isn't, then welcome to the civil rights movement.

While we're at it, how do you feel about the curse of Ham? (rhetorical)
