In those cases, we recognized that requiring integration was not about violating religious liberty; it was about ensuring fairness. It is no different today.

Religious freedom in America means that we all have a right to our religious beliefs, but this does not give us the right to use our religion to discriminate against and impose those beliefs on others who do not share them.

Through litigation, advocacy and public education, the ACLU works to defend religious liberty and to ensure that no one is either discriminated against nor denied services because of someone else's religious beliefs.

And you and most of this forum thought that the idea put forth by China/US/Australia for the disappearance of MH370 which was suicide by plane by flying 7 hours due south after making a bunch of maneuvers to avoid Indonesia radar to ditch into the ocean with a perfect glide so the plane would sink intact so as to leave no debris was logical? But as we now all should know if you're going to suicide by plane you do it as soon as you are alone in the cockpit which makes that suicide after 7 hours story total bullshit.

Not in for profit industry though.

Tax credits, shit like that, aren't available to for profit religiously motivated pursuits, such as Ken Ham's ark park boondoggle.

If you're doing a non profit venture that is religiously motivated, that is absolutely protected by the 1st amendment free religion/free association clauses.

If you're doing anything for a profit, and especially if you're receiving any amount of government funding or other incentives in the process, you most assuredly will not be allowed to discriminate against people.

Like Ken Ham can't run an Ark Park and not hire atheists and gays and shit to work there, if he wants to open and operate it, and if he wants to receive tax credits. The Equal Employment Opportunity laws, and the stipulations invested in the process of requesting government grants and tax incentives, etc. for building a business in a particular place, all prevent that behavior.

That's why the Boy Scouts can discriminate in who they employ, for instance, but McDonald's can't.
