To "could have" you'd need to be willing and able to drop $53k into an over-shorted stock. So, idk if anyone here is both of those things, lol.
My point was he didn't do it already having a mountain of money. He did it with a sum many of us could have put together.

I dunno, to me that's like saying you could mirror the success of nancy pelosi's relative in investing. He started with a LOT more than just money.

Obviously he still was successful, but pointing to the money like you could do the same with just money is stupid.

He turned a 53K investment into hundreds of millions by investing in a single company.

Eh, he also socially engineered the whole thing though. WIthout getting thousands of Redditors (and Twitch watchers I think?) onboard with the plan, it never would've materialized into anything and he'd have lost it all.

Really, that's the story of it all. He could've picked any over shorted stock and done the same thing.

I read something that said Roaring Kitty got access to hedge fund money to continue fucking around with stuff. Which would explain why he has additional capital? Or did he grow all of it himself after the first time?

He started out with a self funded position that was around $50K

By the time the meme mania was over 2-3 months later, he walked away with something like $40M. I think he spent some time laying low because he had to deal with feds over "market manipulation" investigations. He just took his money and ghosted for a while.

I'm surprised he is back at it, but he certainly knows how to keep that crowd chasing that laser dot.

Watching some of the documentaries that came out of that original GME/AMC debacle is fun. So many normies that convinced themselves they now have all the knowledge and tools of institutional investors and that they are now bonified traders and experts.

The cognitive dissonance is astounding

I’m a complete fucking moron but between GME and AMC I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 and a Sauna because of it.

On what grounds could they possibly ban him? Not that it matters in clown world.

This guy made too much money!

If they do ban him somehow, how much money you guys willing to "invest" that Robinhood approaches him as their spokesperson?

I mean, when they shut down the trades to the public the last time so the institutional investors could save their own asses, it really showed that the whole game is rigged. Doing it a 2nd time? That's ballsy. Especially when the stakes are so low all things considered.

It's like Vegas casinos banning card counters who can actually win at blackjack. Can't have people playing the game who can actually beat the house.

He's got beyond fuck you money at this point.

I mean, I obviously can't speak for everyone, because there are certainly people with more than him that continue to sell out. But he also doesn't seem like the type to forego his own personal compass for an endorsement deal.

I said they would approach him, not that he'd do it. It's the meme kind of advertising that would work best on the meme generation
