Bit of a sell here in the indexes on this headline:

I would hold off on too much bearish sentiment on this headline though. There's a 90D pause to iron all of this out with the EU.

Remember when that Chinese AI came out and everyone was speculating on how China got ahold of export controlled chips? Not sure how many months ago that was, but now apparently they're not only acknowledging it but it's a massive portion of their revenue?

I have a small NVDA position, but will go a bigger if it hits 77 or lower. Didn't hit my target last time we crashed during original tariff drama. Also have half the position size in AMD just to cover both. Would love to see both tank hard to fill my bags further.

The H20 chips were already specifically downgraded for the Chinese market to reduce AI performance. H100+ were the subject of the real export controls. The new restrictions also impact more markets than just China.

THere was no speculation, they used H20s and that was known. The reason that was a big deal is that the H20s are the previous hopper generation and not Blackwell

I did AVGO puts today, and if the aftermarket down shift holds I may have made close to 50%…..will update sometimes tomorrow!

I really wish I knew how to let this stuff ride better(if it could have). I guess that's why I'll never be the WSB dude who bet 10k and made 3 million. Ohh well, hardly going to complain about this win. I was hoping for 5-10%!
Edit 2: AVGO was at -6$ish when I sold, now its at -11$ Could have doubled my money.
Would love advice on how people handle shorter expiration options when they are up. With the SPY I can set trailing stops because they are extremely liquid. With others it's not really possible as it can blow right past stops, sometimes to the point of causing a loss even when you up either due to quantity or liquidity. All my technical signs said AVGO was going to recover a bit from the open(daily chart in upward direction, all MA's stacked, etc)....then it dumped even lower.
Any strategy's others use?
