The last two look amazing.
I thought the last episode was clever. They basically shit all over standard sitcoms with laugh tracks and then showed how without it a lot of sitcoms aren't funny, they're just super dark or super shitty people saying terrible stuff to each other. Also proves how great Sunny is that it's super dark AND super shitty people saying shitty stuff to each other, but you ALWAYS know when to laugh.

Ya it seemed like a super meta fuck you to bullshit like Big Bang Theory or any comedy on CBS. I really don't get the hate, rewatched again and it was still funny.

it wasn't my favorite episode but the forced/hamfisted aspect was very much intentional. It was better than the first episode but not close to waterpark

It didn't have to be this hamfisted, that was a mistake on their part. When they did this in Gang Desperately Tries to Win an Award, it was done a lot more subtly and its considered one of their best episodes.
You don't have to beat us over the head with it. We've been watching you for 12 years. We get it and we like your show because you're not beating us over the head with it.

I can see them missing the mark more with this one as opposed to The Gang Tries to Win an Award but I don't know if I'd call that one subtle, they were pretty blatant about what they were poking fun at and brought up specific examples several times throughout that episode. It's a strange point to argue since we agree, to a point, about the episode.
Maybe it's due to it being a full ensemble episode and them never splintering off into the pairings that would have made an episode like this feel a lot more fleshed out?
No B and C stories made the main plot have to carry a lot of weight for how immediately recognizable it was how things would unfold. Wasted use of Uncle Jack is the true crime of the episode

I thought this was the weakest episode so far. Still funny, though. Them all blasting away at cocaine nonchalantly made me laugh. Also the twitter feed about Dee. Mac and Charlie's story seemed weak, but I do love Gay, woman-hating Mac stuff. Feels like he's a representation of a lot of this board.
