Sending her to college would be (or could be) that dramatic thing. Look man, he cares for this girl. It may not work, but fuckit, community college aint that expensive, so it's worth a shot. That's why I added the caveats that he pay for it directly and that she keeps her grades up. That way you know she is trying. Even if she's really sucking dick for the grades instead of getting smarter, it would still show she cares about school.

Community college. If you can't do math, then fuck it, don't do math. Community colleges generally have a variety of classes available that she might find interesting. You don't need math as a pre-req for art history, or diesel mechanic, or whatever. I'm not thinking she'll get a degree in pharmacology. Not even expecting her to get a degree unless she finds something she really digs.

Do they offer classes in meth cooking these days? She's a junkie who has no interest in getting clean yet. I doubt someone like that would have the motivation it takes to even show up for free classes when it would mean giving up time spent getting high or whoring for drug money. It would be a nice gesture but probably a meaningless one until she bothers getting her life together.
