It always amazes me that its usually educators that come up with this tripe, when its a clear case of fetishistic, tribal style thinking. "The evil spirits in the white paper will make white babies racist!" is no different than "Guns kill people" "Pencils make writing errors" and "Spoons eat food".

Someone mentioned a good deal earlier in the thread that this mentality is still very pervasive. I guess they were right.

Chris Rock has a good take on it. There's a newer, more in depth version of it but this is the first one I found quickly.

While I didn't agree with Charles about the racial profiling, he made some great points.

Of course, he may be privy to more information, but I didn't see anything that I would regard to profiling other than the authorities asking what race the person was over the phone.

The police said to leave it alone after he answered black. Isn't that a benign answer and action?
