FUCK YEAH DON IS BACK

between Scout the magic Negro comics, awesomely insane Ginsberg, Tea Party Betty, Fuck Your Meeting Don, and Threesome (BONUS ROUND: REDHEAD) that was a fantastic episode. Really sucks only 3 more episodes and then a year wait for the final 8, can't even imagine what more can happen.
I hate to be the one that does this to you, but the final season is 14 episodes and we only have 2 left until 2015. Sad Face.

So what exactly happened to Ginsberg? Has he been slowly going crazy and I just missed it? It seemed like he went from his usual quirky-but-sane self to batshit crazy in the span of this last episode.

No Radio and no creative lounge make Ginsberg go something something... He has always been a bit odd but those things and the constant humming from that giant paperweight have pushed him over the edge. I do wonder what the point of it is though story wise; in earlier seasons he was presented as a valuable member of creative, will their work now suffer to a great enough extent to give Don an advantage or what? Also did Peggy keep the gift?

There have been some hints here and there: his frequent paranoia, awkwardness in social situations, his tirades, etc. Probably most telling were his story to Peggy about being from Mars and the meltdown he had that Bob Benson had to talk him down from (in which he mentions transmissions being "beamed right into his head"). I've also read that how sweaty he'd get when he was agitated is a classic symptom of schizophrenia. It's just a lot of the weird things he did were brushed off as him just being a quirky creative type rather than anyone in the office realizing he was slowly becoming unhinged.

Yeah. Ginsberg has just never been well. I don't remember specifics, but every scene that's had him in it has had him with that sketchy energy.

My complaint: They weren't wearing white coats. The men who come to get you are supposed to be wearing white coats.

This episode just seemed weird to me, almost as if I had missed a couple of weeks. Meagan going from seeming like she was on the edge of leaving Don to luring him into a threeway. Don back on the wagon but able to manage it effectively. Betty and Henry going at each other all of a sudden (not that the cunt didn't have it coming). Maybe the biggest WTF moment was someone like Lou evoking the name of Bob Fucking Dylan in comparison to his monkey comic strip inspiration.

And Ginsberg, it was nice knowing ya. One of the most likeable of the secondary characters.

Megan luring Don into a threeway was an act of desperation on her part, it is part of them breaking up. Well, probably.

They really should've used that song during the closing credits. Missed opportunity, I say.

Megan throwing Don out didn't work, so she moved onto the threesome. Megan's primary motivation at this point is getting Don to leave New York for her.

i just hope we don't get into male male female threesomes, one dick is enough

i vote for the rest of the series megan brings in another chick into the bedroom, to represent equality. next week could be asian, then south american, then black, then handicapped to represent the ADA struggles of the 80s, etc

I love Pegster so much. She really is a strong personality, and she's such agirl.

And yes, it was a brilliant ending.

It also answered a question that I'd had. I'd been wondering if Joan just didn't see it, or if she accepted him as a girlfriend. Maybe they answered that last season and I just forgot. I don't think they did though. I think they danced around it.

Really just an all around A++ episode.

One of the very best episode of the show because it was 100% about the very core of it: social transition from the '50s and ad making.

The episode is also interesting in the way it shows that while there is evolution for women, homosexuals are not in the same wagon just yet.

If anyone is going to have an amazing gaydar it would be Joan.

Loved last night's episode. I'm still really worried Don is going to get fired for Phillip-Morris, though.

This week's episode was on the same level than The Suitcase episode. It was awesome on every level. The Burger Chef family thing was glorious. Everyone was at their finest, Cosgrove making people uncomfortable, Pete ruining his own weekend, Joan ruining Bob, Bob being Bob, Roger making sauna one-liners, Peggy being trolled by Draper, Draper stepping up his game again. It feels so nice watching this show every week.
