The above is mostly correct, there's always joint or sole legal custody regardless of the state involved. Physical is another matter....though the definition is pretty loose that's why.

Like in Minnesota, there's no join physical per say. Like mentioned above whom ever had the child the most is the parent that gets the child support. You technically have joint physical but majority physical is one or the other parent who collects money.

And correct, there's no such thing as being reimbursed for child support if it comes to you having majority physical throughout the year.

Family court is heavily focused on the welfare of the children. They don't really give a shit what is fair or convenient for the parents. This is why it is in your favor to figure things out with your ex and do your best to keep it cordial. If you put it in the hands of the court, you probably won't like the outcome.

The idea of "winning" or finding ways to fuck with your ex/deal unfairly with her are really misguided. You want to present yourself as reasonable and ready to compromise. If the judge sees you in that light and your spouse as the agitator, they are more likely to help you out.

This is spot on and touched on in my original post in the subject.

Bros, I'm on the longest drought of my life (6 months or more) and I've just started dating this smoking hot Viet girl. My primal instincts are telling me to rip all her clothes off and it's probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do to fight that instinct. I really don't want to fuck this up, lol.

You think she's going to hate you for wanting her? Why would you fight that urge? You can be a man without being a rapist ya know.

Thank you for this example of "Advice you should not follow."

Why not? Never came back to bite me when I was between girlfriends and horny enough to make dumb decisions. At least the prostitute isn't a long term bad decision, like signing a 20 year contract, or ruining a chance at a lifetime contract I might want to sign.

Going to try and get all the questions:

Chances are I will not lose my job, gov't employee.

My preference on custody would be joint, I have no intention of limiting her time with him etc. Ideally, I would like for her to have a majority of the custody rights until he is 9 or 10, then us swapping (while maintaining joint custody the whole time, splitting time etc whatever, and in a few years I will be mobile enough to relocate to where ever she is to help facilitate this).

She stayed behind because she just got into grad school, and it was not worth while for her to drop out of school and relocate until she was able to xfer to grad school here. So we decided she would quit her job, do full time parent / student until she graduates or transfers.

No pics of the wife (She used to be a 9.5, now prolly a 7? We all age etc. Looks has nothing to do with our issues), I dont keep photos at all really. Have like 2 or 3 of the kid.

Open marriage I'd be down for, she not so much.

I dont want to "fuck with her" but am not opposed to employing sordid means to the end of keeping joint custody / etc.

Remember LachiusTZ the next time someone chimes in about how women are evil and deceitful and manipulative when it comes to divorce. The door swings both ways.

This wont be happening.

Yeah, I dont react well to being threatened. Esp when it comes to my son. I might have moved, but it was a required move, and by far the right choice for everyone in my life. All thoughts of me being a "honest and well intended" human vanished when she threatened me with my child.

Unfortunately Tarrant, I knew that was almost impossible w/o her cooperation, which I wont have. Really fucking hate this situation.

Edit: Our conversation where she was telling me all the ways she was going to being a cunt regarding our child eventually rotated to her looking for some comfort etc, and I asked her (almost verbatim) "You realize you are holding a gun to my head while asking me if I want to be with you?". Its not like this woman has not had a lifetime of experience with me, so knows my reactions and how / who I am. I might be completely fucked in this ordeal, but I am still going to try.

Yeah, you didn't mention that shit in your previous posts. That's a pretty fucked up thing to threaten.
