I have always found, and I'm not kidding, that when a woman gets like that the best thing you can do is just bearhug her until she calms the fuck down.

It will piss her off unbelievably at first. And you'll take a knee to the balls the first time you let her go. But you do it two or three times and she'll throw shoes at you instead of trying to slap you. When she gets violent, she won't get close.

I don't know the specifics of your fight, maybe her actions were justified, idk. All I know, is that reading your post was somewhat cringe-worthy. I couldn't relate at all. I just couldn't imagine a scenario where my wife and I have gotten that angry at the other person(and I'm a stubborn asshole, as you probably could tell from my post history). That shit would stick pretty bad when considering marriage.

That line exists, it is you dumping her. If she is literally following you around the house and saying everything nasty under the sun with no line, that sounds like what should be the death knell of any relationship. There is literally no excuse for that. A line doesn't always have to be physical violence.

Reminds me of I think Tarrant saying that his line was threatening divorce. The minute he had his wife do that, he said fine and started to move out.

Well, the issue is that she has an alcohol problem. Not in the sense that she's a regular drinker, or carries a flask in her purse, but that on the rare occasion that she drinks she goes absolutely nuts. Two glasses of wine is all that it takes to turn her into a screaming foul-mouthed loon that six hours later doesn't even remember what she said. Once it was established that she can't drink if the relationship was to continue, she cut out alcohol, but inevitably she slips up at some point while out somewhere, and every three months or so on average a screaming banshee busts through my door and lays into me until the sauce wears off. I've already broken up with her twice during these rants, then capitulated in the morning to give it another shot when she's in crying/apologetic mode. I don't know what it is, but crying fucking melts me.

You're spot on about the marriage thing, that's for sure. I've already told her that I can't marry someone that has a Mr. Hyde just waiting to jump out of the closet at any moment.

Yes, very true. Dumped her a few times during these arguments (which makes her rage X10) only to back down in the morning when all the crying and apologies start flowing.

She's an alcoholic, it sounds like. Alcoholism doesn't really mean youhave todrink. It means you cannot control how much you drink or how you act when you do drink. At the very least, she has a problem with alcohol.

Your girlfriend sounds like my mother - an alcoholic. It starts out small now, but it will get worse. Her behavior now is an indication of how comfortable she is with you, just imagine how she'll be as the relationship progresses.

The best solution here would be to kick her out if she pulls that shit again. Nagging a dude or whatever is fine in moderation, but flat out screaming drunk is inexcusable.
